It would become a generic 'save the girl' vampire story like 99.9% of all vampire stories with a female lead that isn't the kick *** slayer is(You know, like the second, less popular Lost Boys movie), hence why most people were HAPPY that the main focus was a guy and the tone was different--it's what made the movie so enjoyable: it was different, campy and fun, and for ONCE, saving the female lead wasn't the main plot point--even with Star included, she wasn't as focused on/as important as the brother/family bond and Michael.

Not to say your OC is bad (at least she's not a Mary Sue) and your writing is good (if not a little too rushed and 'modern' given the setting of the film. It's obvious you were born/saw it after it was released, if not long after.) but honestly, the story is just generic and done to death.

For some reason I came upon this story, I had no idea what it was about just knew it was about vampires. I later realised that I had actually seen the movie "The Lost boys" when I was little. I liked it very much. And its a plus that one of my favorite vampires "spike" would pop up in this story. Truely incredible. I dont like the whole mate and love thing however, she doesnt seem like that type that acts real, or like a real person would when they see that they are eating maggots. So that kinda ticks me off just a bit. Anyways nice story, although a bit cheesy.

I love where you're taking this. So far you've been very creative with the plot. I enjoy a story more when I can't predict what happens next-well other then the obvious. I had not checked for an update in a long time, but I'll keep checking if you keep updating. P.S. I hope things are going well for you.
