It wouldn't have necessarily been cowardly of her to react that way. Fight or flight is involuntary either way. Sometimes fighting your assailant back is the most cowardly thing you can do. Your life is more important than your ego.

Awesome. Kathryn was my favorite character in the movie. It mad me sad when she lost everything in the end.
