Hmm I don't know; something about this feels off to me. It's lovely and well composed and all that, but I just can't see Hannibal leaving our poor Clarice so often like that. Well, maybe I can... He does after all have her in his memory palace. But nevertheless, the two most important things to the good doctor(in my impression) are Clarice and Mischa. I think based on the many open and honest talks they had near the end of the book(where he was indeed like her doctor in his methods), he sufficently layed himself out there for her. I think that is what really made Clarice admit to herself her feelings. Anyway, I ramble. I really did enjoy this little story, and I'm happy to find a fanfic writer who has at least read(and writes for) the books!

The story really keeps you hanging ... You won't happen to consider a sequel? - didn't think so - sad, but a really different story. I like it. Good job!
