Sweetie, if you're going to use a word like pantalets, especially at the moment they're being pulled down, then for goodness' sake, have some faith that your readers will figure out what they are and don't stop to write (like bloomers, etc). I completely approve of both spanking and trying to improve one's vocabularly (hey, I'm British, what did you expect?!), but somehow the two don't quite go together.
