Ohhhhh. Ardeth...Is he gonna help jonathan get better!!! You have to update soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I must admit that for a time I did not think that I would get this far in your story. I was taken aback by th epercentage of your story that is given over to extremely graphic descriptions of brutalization. To skip the inevitable bandwagon of "well, if you don't like it, you don't have to read it..." that I am sure many people would spring to write - I am well aware of that fact. I took a chance based on your description that intrigued me, the fact that I haven't seen much fiction in this fandom focused on my two favorite characters lately, and liking your writing style in the first chapter. I knew there would be a rape and some torture [I assumed it would be graphic from your warning] that I would have to skip. What I was taken aback by was the sheer volume of it; how much of the story it takes up. Before anyone acuses me of not being able to deal with reality, I am sure I have heard what you wrote about and probably even worse from some of the runaway and at-risk adolescents that I have spent a great deal of my professional career working with. I suppose part of it then is that honestly, after having to deal with the real thing on a daily basis, from real young people, it is truly hard to then read it described so graphically unneccessarily. You could have left most of the description out and still have showed us the horror of what was done to Jonathon. You write well enough to do so. Regardless, I skipped most of it and I am glad I stayed. The reactions of Evie and Rick and Jonathon's escape to protect himself... Very good and again, I'm glad I stayed.

Oh, enter Ardeth. I'm really intrigued by this story. What happens now that Ardeth is here?
