Needless to say, I liked the happy ending much better than the other...the not-so-happy one drove me to tears, though, and that's not an easy thing to do. Both were very well written...hell, the whole thing was well written!! You're right, though. Mort deserved a happy ending. I'm of the firm belief that if someone had given him a hug during the whole ordeal w/ Shooter in the movie, Amy and Ted would still be alive. What that character needed, you certainly gave to him.
Thanks. I'm sure he would.

I cried at the 'not so happy' ending!
Dammit, i just couldnt stop the tears!
And when Mort-ghost put his hands on her stomach but disappeared after....OOOOOWWWWW!
So cute, so sad, so unfair....dammit...

Oh... My... God... I'm shaking so hard I can't type properly. I mean that. I almost started hyperventilating when Mort let himself shut down, seriously. I actually prefer the darker ending, and I'm not sure why. It seemed more fitting, you know? When he just... put the hat on and pulled the trigger... I almost cried. The only time I've ever been like this after reading something is after I read Harry Potter 5 and Sirius died. The ending played out like Alex's dream after all. That was probably what made it seem more fitting, too. And Shooter being a real person, killed for his crimes... It scared me more than a little, I'll say. I honestly can't believe I've wrn thn this much, the amount my hands are shaking right now. Not one spelling error either, wow. I fell in love with the story from the first chapter. It has to be one of *the* most well written fanfictions I've *ever* read, including one 67 chapter long Gundam Wing/Sailor Moon crossover. Scratch that, it *is* the *single most well written* fanfic I have *ever* read. Full stop.

omg i read both the endings and they were both perfect! *crying happy/sad tears* I can't decide which one i would pick! I mean, if he didn't kill himself, Shooter could always come back and hurt the baby...but the happy life with Alex is just so wonderful, and he really should have left Amy in the first place. You have made everything from Secret Window right again, and now I know that it doesn't end with a braces-clad loser hiding his wife's dead body under a garden of corn! It was absolutely amazing, the best fanfic i ever read, thank you soooo much!

I know, I kinda of joked about crying in my last review. But seriously I have tears in my eyes right now. Oh, I knew Mort was a good guy deep down. I still can't believe he killed himself. I'm glad you made Shooter a ghost, instead of having Mort really be crazy. It make what he did so much more sacrificing. You did a wonderful job of writing this story. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it, you should be very proud of it. I hope that you will contiune writing more fanfiction because you certainly have talent, Just promise me that your next story will have ae hae happier ending.(CLAPPING) WELL DONE!!!!

Awwww! I LOVED this! Absolutely loved it! I could, like, picture it all in my head. Everything. I liked this ending a lot better, obviously.. it was just so fitting. Mort is happy, Julia is not without a father, Alex is the size of a beluga whale.. that's how things should be, y'know? n.n
This story was excellent. You know that I'm prolly gonna hang around and stalk you now, right? I'm willing to bet that all your stories will be as wonderful as the two I have already read. So.. yeah-p! I'm in for the long haul. ::Whips out a pop tent, a case of Mountain Dew, and the s'more makings.::
