I must confess that I clicked on this link only because I expected the story to be laughable. How, I thought, could someone write a believable story based on such a frivolous movie?
I freely admit now that I was wrong. Your portrayal of Maverick and Ice is three-dimensional and touching. I went from skepticism to enthrallment by the end of the first chapter, and by the end of the story I was very sorry there was no more. This is lovely. Thank you for sharing it with us.

I wish I had the perfect words to tell you how I'm feeling right now, after reading this wonderful story! I'm so happy! It is so well written, with the perfect pace and rhythm! From the absurdity to ideal match! I'm flying high!:D

Hey, that was CUTE AS. I really liked it. I was searching, vainly searching for Top Gun slash - Top Gun, the slashiest movie of all time - and this was really lovely. I feel all warm inside. Ahem.

this is a great story. i wish there was more top gun (slash) fanfic out there. i caught a snippet of the movie a while ago, after not having seen it fro the longest time, and the tension between iceman and maverick was insane. i wonder why no one else has picked up on it yet? anyway this really was an unexpected treat to read, thanks for writing it. ummmm..... so there is no hope for a sequel is there? please!!
