I skipped the rape scene so I can't give you any feedback on that, but the overall fic is quite good. I thought you dealt with the eftermath of the rape well, and showed respect to your female character. She's a strong appealing character. The only criticism I have is that Smith is almost too much of a villian while Jones is almost too good. They both did the same wicked things, yet they have turned out totally different. It's really a small thing, it's totally plausible that Jones might fall in love an therefore want to change, but maybe it would be more gradual. Or prehaps you could emphasize that while he raped women, it was pure duty and he took no pleasure in it. That feeling comes through anyway, that he didn't enjoy it at all. Fab job on Persephone, it seemed just like her to torment him and opens the possibility of him changing, though I'm sure Bronwyn will still hate him regardless. Just be torment to him, which he of course deserves. Good job.
