This was a gorgeous little drabble. The Shawshank Redemption is my absolute favorite movie. I've been searching for several hours and this is only the second story I've managed to find on the net featuring this pairing. The other was Sage's "Freedom" which I highly recommend. There is just so much to say about characters like these, so many different angles one can take. Andy is one of the strongest characters I've ever seen written for the page or screen, and yet, there is also a fragility in him that lurks upon the edge of desperate. I loved your drabble, and I'm so pleased that you posted it for me to find. I wonder what your Andy's true reaction will be when he turns from his boat to see Red coming down the beach? :) I suppose I'll be kept wondering. Thanks again.

For being so short that was pretty good. It sounded rather in-character too, like I could imagine Andy thinking those things, and though it never came to mind before now, him and Red would go good together. Do you plan to update? I'd love it if you did! =) Ja ne!
