Oh, I remember reading this on Live Journal!
I didn't know this was you... I should have guessed though.
I loved reading this a second time around too. You're so good at writing in character... no matter what is happening. I loved this part...
"Chico was a medium-sized dog, and he was a rather medium-sized guy. He wouldn't be rough with her, and if she showed clear signs of pain or distress he would stop, immediately...probably."
That "probably" on the end slayed me. Very Mortish.
