*Fans self rapidly with hand* Whooo!!! Did it suddenly get hotter in here? Shit. That was fantastic!! I ADORE Roux. The accent, the grin, the smart-ass.....ness. LOL. And this fic was absolutely, beautifully written. I could picture that happening along with the other events in the movie. A deleted scene? A hidden scene? Available only on the XXX version? LOL. I really enjoyed this fic. I like how it started with Vianne creating her chocolate confections, and then, Roux showing up to distract her. Ooh, and what a distraction he is...That character is just as sweet and sinfully sexy as chocolate itself. I KNOW because I'm a chocoholic. My favorite moments in this fic are Roux teasing Vianne about her blushing, Vianne scolding him "Not in the kitchen", and his reply of "I know". It sounds like a little boy who's been chastised for misbehavior more than once. It also fits the playful nature of his character. Additionally, the love scene was incredibly steamy and perfectly descriptive. I also LOVE how Vianne doesn't hear "the North wind any more" after that afternoon encounter with Roux. I don't blame her either. After all, what woman in her right mind would leave that man?!!!! She would have to be a few cookies short of a dozen to even consider it. I do have one small complaint with your fic. If you write another Chocolat fic (Please do because they're not enough of them out there), watch the movie when you are writing. You got the personality traits of Roux down pat, but his accent is a bit too close to Captain Jack. It's more English than Irish. This is a small snafu in a wonderful story, and it doesn't detract from the enjoyment of said story either.
