To answer a question from above. As a *senator* Padme was not always in make up. You only have too look at her senatorial costumes in AOTC and, most tellingly, what she was NOT wearing in her senate box (ROTS) when Palpatine was proclaiming himself Emperor to know that she appeared in public without the heavy white face paint. So yes, the public knew what their senator looked like.

This is brilliant. It weaves in very well with the vents of the First Trilogy. Please continue writing. Its been a while since I've been convinced to come back to this place for good fiction. Nice to know that there are gems here and this certainly qualifies.
