Oh my God! How could you end this way? How cruel. I just found this story and spent most of last night reading it. It's incredible; probably one of the best I've ever read. The way you portray Vader, in all his evil glory, is wonderful. I can't wait to see what Padme and ObiWan have cooked up. Is it wrong for me to want a happy ending?

Arrrgh, I hope he doesn't hurt the kids. This is a disturbing story, but I still feel a glimmer of sympathy for Anakin. I am glad to see he won the showdown with the Emperor. In ROTJ, that's when Vader is redeemed, of course, but I am not sure that your Vader is on the same path.

It has been a while since I last reviewed this story, but rest assured I have been following it religiously. This is one of the finest SW AU fics I have seen, not only on this site, but on the internet. The way you convey emotion and underlying turmoil is absolutely wonderful. One moment I hate Vader as much as Si-Nia does, and the next I feel terrible for him. This is a great story with amazing depth. Keep up the wonderful work!

This story is dark and I feel very descriptive of what Vader would be after all was said and done with the Mustafar incident. I do like the part about using the suit for intimidation purposes only. I am into the darker side of Anakin/Vader. Great story, can't wait for the update. Also, you are a great writer, keep up the good work!

Wow. This is one the darkest, if not THE darkest Vader fic I've ever read. I sympathized with him at first, but he's quickly proven just how depraved and evil the depths of the dark side truly are. If there's anyone I feel truly sorry for, it's Si-Nia. It's a wonder she hasn't killed herself yet after such a horrific ordeal. I think Vader's far from done with her; he wouldn't have given her back her children unless he intends to make an example out of them.
Padme's in for a nasty surprise if Obi-Wan's plan is to send her to distract Vader. Vader's irredeemable at this point, and once he learns she's been conspiring with the Jedi to hide her children, he's gonna go ballistic. I wouldn't be surprised if he really killed her this time. I know this story is centered around Vader, but I hope Obi-Wan finds a way to succeed in his mission. Or that at least he or Padme can help Si-Nia escape from that hell. Or maybe they can all conspire to kill Vader, for everything he's done to them.
For the most part, your writing's been excellent so far. The battle scene was a little short (I expected more from a Sith who put upa tremendous fight against Yoda), but that's a minor quibble, and Palpatine was just part of the plot. The real focus is on Vader here, and you're doing a great job of that. It's dark and scary, but very well written. Keep going with it.

I found this story recently, and after I read it, I read your other Anakin/Padme story, "Time Retreating" -- I think that they are both fantastic, by the way. What I really appreciated was the consistency in the Anakin/Vader character from "Time Retreating" to "Forget Me Not" -- one can clearly see the the same seriously-troubled, young man in both stories.
I also applaud you on not trying to sugar coat Vader. So much of the Star Wars fan fiction out there is totally dedicated to turning him into a pile of gooey mush. It's the Poor Ani Syndrome, which causes people to excuse the horrid choices he makes and the heinous things he does because, after all, he started out good, didn't he?
Personally, I've never been comfortable buying into the Obi-wan view of Vader -- the belief that somehow Anakin and Vader are two disparate beings. I've always believed that a lot of what you see in Darth Vader later on was always present in Anakin Skywalker. I believe, as Count Dooku realizes (albeit too late for him) in the Revenge of the Sith novel, that Anakin was already part Sith long before he ever got on his knees to Palpatine.
Vader is evil. He should be scary. He is a villain -- cold-hearted and cunning. And, I thank you for not shying away from that fact.
Keep up the excellent work. I look forward to further installments.

Where's the rest of it?????????? You can't do this to me! PLEASE finish this as soon as possible. This is one of the BEST AU Star Wars fics I have ever read. Are you doing it right? ABSOLUTELY! Please, please keep writing. Your grasp of the character of Anakin/Vader is amazing. This is the guy slaughtered younglings and the temple and went home and kissed his wife. You have got it right!
