I loved this chapter, I read the entire thing with a smile on my face. I like the way we read both of their thoughts and Jack just does it for me every time.

I forgot to add about the Dirty Duck; I love the way both you and Hils add details that make it even more real.
Having said that, your postscript reminded me of my brother. When I was little, about five, I used to flit around the living room doing 'ballet' and he used to laugh and call it "the dance of the dying duck" instead of the 'dying swan'. Silly really, but it made me smile with happy memories. Thanks for that.
