This was an entirely satisfying read. It's so charming, adventurous, hot--ladies and gents alike. And everyone is in character as well as realistic; there's just enough about them and never too much, and I didn't get bored not even once or breeze a paragraph. I can imagine meeting these people with their pros and cons. Also, your Rome is just spectacular. His dialogue defines his voice in my head, and I like how you describe his eyes, giving him that exotic touch on top of his persevere and prevail attitude. About Brian, normally it annoys me when one character is the center of attention, but it's written well here and adds some humorous and fun conflict between our folks, while not making him a Mary-Sue. Or 'Jerry' or whatever they call it, you get the lingo. Thanks for putting so much work into it and sharing it; I really enjoyed this.
