Wow. Again, wow.
Didn't expect that ending - god, it was all so intense and sexy and cruel! You do a fantastic Jack. Elizabeth was a cold bitch, but you gotta love it. Would've like to have read Jack's thoughts being more possessive and murderous at the end, but it was more interesting the way you handled it. Well done. Please write more J/E!

You are bloody brilliant. The way you craft the relationship between Jack and Elizabeth in this story is, first of all, thoroughly entertaining, but also very realistic. This story feels like the movie (with an NC-17 rating, of course). PLEASE write more - power struggles are fun, as long as Jack wins in the end :)

My oh my! That last chapter was so much more than I would have KNOWN to wish for in the ending scene.
You picked the sexual tension right back up as if they hadn't just paused to fight a sneaky serpent/god-thingie. I love how you didn't make them gush. They *still* had their differences that brought that certain spark to the sex. And yet, you played on that whole 'peas in a pod' theme and the similarities were sexy as well (the fact that Elizabeth wanted it as much as he, no shirking violet was she, and that was so in keeping with her character throughout the story - the one I'd come to really, really like!). The dialogue was fast, exciting as well. GAWD, I just want to go through and pick out my favorite lines and post them in a review but there were so many! The sex had my toes curling as well as well as had me enjoying it on a deeper, darker level. The ending was very nice, something about torturing poor Jack, J/E not quite together - leaves you with a slightly bitter, tantilizing taste. Your ideas for a sequel are terrific. I really hope you do write that - wow, we would get a little of everything there, wouldn't we? A little Evil E., a little of happily ever after J/E, a little angsty and separted J/E. /fangirly gushing

I LOVED this story. I so didn't see the heathen god thing at the end! I would be very excited to see a sequel! The Pearl must return! :-D
