Oh I *loved* this chapter. The tension is really building up, time is running out. Hurry, Jack, you damn, selfish pirate! The humor in Jack's scene was splendid - and so very Jack. Will/E was nice as well and I liked what she had to say that the end about how Jack seems to have an almost magical sway with people - great lines! Sorry I didn't review sooner, I had a print out and couldn't get back to the computer until later (meaning now)

Wow, sparks are flying! I loved the sexy banter, especially near the beginning.

My personal favorite: “I'm not a cruel man, I could be easily persuaded to forgive you. Given the right... reparations.”

Flashback to DMC - very nice.

Oh you! Lady E is rubbing off on you and you're becoming a cruel mistress to your poor readers. Leaving us hanging after such a titilating and terrifying scene. It sounds like they're heading for disaster. Come on Jack, you've always come through. Again, love how you are writing Jack. The part where you flashed off to show Tia's, Jones's, and the other ominous signs was thrilling.

Hmmm...I'm intrigued. I think I'm gonna keep up with this one, see where it goes. It's neat to see Lizzy played as the potential big bad. I like!! Update soon.

This is even better than the sexy stuff from before, much better. First of all, I really enjoy how you write Jack and love reading what's going on in that head of his. I also liked your ideas of what would happen if he died...very well thought out and highly interesting. Also, it was fast-paced, which is always fun. Cutting his way of of the Kraken was a nice touch as well.

I'm so going to love this, although it makes me a sad as well. Poor tortured characters! I'm especially looking forward to seeing the interactions between Jack and Elizabeth now that he knows what he does. I wonder how the more serious and 'shadowy' bent to his new adventure will affect his outward behavior (if at all).

I can't believe I'm looking forward to this even more than DB!

I've been feeling a little dark/downish today as well. Good thing you channel yours so creatively into this story. I'm so scared for E (Elizabeth, haha), and Jack as well. Has Jack chosen the revenge route? Can't wait for the next.
