Wow, that was fantastic.
It's short, it's well-written, and the characters sound and act true to form. Plus it's one of those things I always suspected might be true about Beckett.

This started out really strong and then kind of fizzled out towards the end, unfortunately. On the other hand, though, I did wonder what supposed "mark" Jack had left on Beckett, and after seeing AWE, I suppose I'll never know for sure. As another reviewer said, I don't know that Jack is really quite heartless enough to actually maim Beckett. I had thought his "mark" was something probably more metaphysical, but the idea is interesting, either way.

you know, I've considered this question myself a few times. the idea of beckett being a eunuch actually tickles my fancy. but, is jack *dark* enough to do so?

Oh my God, you are my hero. That was AMAZING. I love it! Sooo hot, and funny, and I could actually imagine the characters saying those things and acting that way (something rare for fanfics). 10/10!!!! <3

The first half with all the tension is really good. I also like the "point taken" pun. But I find the end disappointing. Beckett should be smarter than that. He could have Jack chained to the wall by one ankle and leave that key outside the cell, so that Jack has to please him and can not escape.
