Another marvelous chapter, and I'm going to be waiting patiently to see how this unfolds. I shudder to even think of what will be required to capture a queen, although I think you just upped the ante on "interesting."
The Matriarch has certainly set the stage for what might be the greatest hunt ever. What's always intriguing is the Yautja practice of nurturing intelligent life when they find it. Granted, intelligent prey makes for a better hunt, but the practice makes our own drive for self-extinction even more ludicrous.

I love it! I got to read two more chapters already. I can't wait to see how they're going to get the planet cleaned out, and capture the queen. I'm already biting my nails. :)

The call from the Matriarch is definitely one of those things I'd define as "interesting" in much the same vein as Kehlan would define it. I did love the inadvertent flirting, too. I've always enjoyed Klingon culture, and I especially enjoy the way you bring in the small details that resonate so well. It allows me to lose myself in the chapter, and in the story.
And thank you for the kind mention! I'm happy if I was able to offer encouragement, and I'm glad you're continuing.

Kehlan,
I saw that you might decide to quit posting for your work. I really hope that you don't. It's refreshing to not have smut in some of the stories that I read, and the grammar and english being used properly is a large plus. I have been following your story since around chapter 15, and love the crossover between Star Trek and Pretadors. It's a new take on things, and actually kind of reminds me of the Voyager series (my favorite, in part due to the amount of non-humans on board). I have tried to post a few times on here, to encourage and cheer you on, but posting from a not so smart phone apparently will not let them go through. So I hope that you do keep updating, because I have been waiting with bated breath for every chapter since i found this marvelous piece of work. I know that one positive in a sea of negative might not change your mind, but I hope that it at least puts a smile on your face :) happy writing, whether on here or just for your own enjoyment.

It's not often that I can say that my work here as a moderator brings me into contact with a story that just takes my breath away. I read so many stories every week, and they start to blur after a time. But I was fortunate enough to have to review this story, hot on the heels of a grueling stint in another subdomain where I fear the well written stories are far outnumbered.
This was a drink of cool water, an intelligent, well-written story that didn't exist simply to toss two improbable people into bed. It is thoughtful, and the characters are extremely well developed, showing growth as the story progresses. The Yautja lose none of their intrinsic menace, and your knowledge of Klingon culture is superb. As someone who pleaded for a later bedtime on Star Trek nights when the original series first aired (Yes, I AM that old), and who has continued to love the wonderful universe Gene Roddenberry gave us, I have to applaud this singular and marvelous story. I deeply regret not having come across it sooner, or I would have been reviewing all along.
As a writer, I know the frustration of not getting any sense of how your story is being received. It's unfortunate that so many of us don't take the time to review, and I'll admit to being guilty of that as well. I can't review from my "working" account, and I'm so seldom in my personal account, but I could and should bookmark stories to return to, and to review.
Obviously, it's your choice whether or not you continue to share this story. I will just say that I would greatly enjoy seeing what you have in store. But however you decide, let me just say thank you for restoring my faith with this superb work.
