This is pretty good. I have a feeling where the time travel stuff is heading but I will wait to see if I am right. I did feel that the death of security officer in chapter 10 was handled a little overwhelmingly. Felt like there should have been more "righteous anger" or something. over it on the part of the star fleet officers. I DO understand the need for the diplomatic process to go smoothly so the captains would move to calm everything down, but still feels a little weak in that regard.
I like the cast of characters and the various aliens in the story. Feels very much like its source material.
Also I was glad to see the Yajuta Elder knowing that his people would be defeated in a war with the Klingons and Star Fleet. A good, legitimate reason for them to negotiate. One thing that I noticed (and this is just me rambling, very rarely do I get the chance to talk about it with someone) is that the technology in the predator movies/comics/games always seemed static. Like they don't seem to make many improvements on what they had. Made me wonder if they stagnating technology-wise or if "oomans" where just advancing quicker than they did. I liked seeing your Yajuta captain showing his people know a thing or two about tech though.
