I really should have reviewed each chapter separately, but it's a mark of your talent that I simply couldn't keep from hitting "Next Chapter". All of a sudden it was over with and I couldn't wait to tell you what I thought. This is the first time I've read anything outside of the Harry Potter Fandom, and I must say that you prove without a doubt that it doesn't matter what the subject is, its the author that really moves a story. I've been a secret Jack and Elizabeth fan since the second movie, and though I loved the third just as much, I couldn't help but root for old Jack some more. You wrote him very in character. He's just as charming and dashing in your story as he is on the big screen. I loved the emotions you put into the plot and the ending was just perfect. I even teared up. Thank you for making my first outer-fandom foray so thoroughly enjoyable and memorable.

I admit to a terrible habit of leaving off reviewing stories after I've read them. They are often only so much dreck. As a writer myself, I can't help but feel the tug of guilt at not responding when I come across talent like yours, so I'm dragging myself out of my stupor to give praise where it is due. Your characterization is wonderful, but as a writer who's a stickler to authenticity in details, I am most impressed with the obvious effort and research you put into this story. I applaud your choice to follow your muse into a bitter ending - it was beautiful in its sorrow, and that's all a good story needs. You've definately got a gift, and I hope you continue to utilize it, to our benefit, of course. Ta, Love!

I am still very much on the fence with a whole Jack/Elizabeth thing. But putting that aside...WOW!!!
This story blew me away!!!!...truly...It was very well written, the thoughts put to paper, so to speak, so eloquently and the relationship between Jack and Elizabeth was heartwrenching.....Besides it being a POTC story, it truly was one of the better pieces of fan fiction work that I've read in a very long time!
I was crying through the last half of the last chapter and for someone's story to do that to me, makes it a story worth reviewing.
Again, kudos to you!

i wanted to hunt you down and strangle you at the begining of this chapter for making a story hurt me so personally.
i cried a little.
As soon as I read "upriver" I was cheering
I got the same feeling as I did the first time i saw the end of dead mans chest. Theres extreme sadness and then those last seconds and abrupt ending filled me with abundant amount of hope and happiness and madness because it ended right there!!!

I can't see through the tears to type....I am shattered with a scattering of hope and love tossed in there...Simply devine.

I just wanted to tell you that was one of the most beautiful and well-written stories I have ever read! EVER! Anger, fear, passion, and intese saddness all in one...it was amazing! The whole time I was reading your last chapter I had tears absolutly streaming down my face...only REALLY good stories can do that...bravo! I like the fact you didnt make it a happy ending, but instead make the ending hav just a glimer of hope so people wouldnt be sobbing for days after they finished reading. I will never forget this story...its was amazing! VERY well done~

I just read your extended Authors note and am glad to hear you are thinking of doing a sequel. This story is and (probably always will be) my favourite fanficts I have EVER read. It captures my emotions so much and every time I am 100% guarenteed to cry. Why? Because you are such a talented writer. It created frustration when Lizzie said she didnt love him and likewise when Jack would not admit his love for her. I cant wait for a part two

It's been an age and a half since I've read or written any fan fic and this was certainly a great story to find after all this time. Your characterization was beautiful as were your words. Everything was crafted together nicely. Thank you for sharing your talent.

OMG....absolutely the best fic i have ever read!!!! True Talent! Liz and Jack stayed in character the whole time!!! Amazing, Impressive, Brilliant, Clever and i seriously think that this should be a movie!!! U have me in complete tears and i was sobbing uncontrollably with Jack when he was holding dead Lizzie in his arms!!! WOW!!!! WOW!!!! Speechless! And the end was perfect!! Absolutely Perfect!! I'm in Aw! Loved it!
