this reminds me of the story of the husband and wife who want to give the other a special gift. the husband wants to buy his wife a fancy expensive comb for her beautiful long hair so he sells his pocket watch to buy it. the wife wants to buy a fob for her husband's watch so she sells her hair to a wig maker to buy the fob.
real love is selfless and self sacrificing.

i wanted to give you an appropriate reward and these are really really good... like your story! rich chocolatey goodness!
::Guinness Brownies::
4 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
9 oz. dark chocolate
5 oz. white chocolate
8 tbsp unsalted butter (1 stick)
3/4 c flour
3/4 c cocoa
1 1/4 c Guinness Stout
Powdered sugar (confectioner's sugar)
Preheat the oven to 375° F and butter an 8 inch square cake pan.
Place butter and chocolate (broken into pieces or chopped) in a saucepan over a low heat to melt. While the chocolate is melting, beat together the eggs and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy. When the chocolate is melted, pour into the bowl and mix well. In a small bowl, sift together flour and cocoa. Add slowly to the large bowl and mix well. Last, whisk in the Guinness.
Pour batter into cake pan and bake for 25-35 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out almost clean. Remove from oven and allow to cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar on top and cut into squares to serve.
