Love the way you describe Jack here, how he 'puts on' his persona again and becomes 'Captain Jack Sparrow', returning to his familiar role, although clearly changed in a way he struggles to understand...

Another great chapter, both Maia and Jack unsettled and trying to come to terms with something they cannot control. Freedom - such a precious thing and so easy to lose...

I like how you show a different side to Jack here, a man that is not in control and so self-assured, struggling to cope with being dependent on someone else.

Wonderful chapter, love all the mystic elements and how Maia is struggling with herself, doubting her ability to save Jack. Was good to see he must be on the mend since he was able to appreciate her walking in from the surf...

My heart was in my mouth the whole time reading this chapter; I love the mystical/spiritual element. I hope Jack's okay...*crosses fingers*

Oh this is just brilliant Ki, love how both Jack and Maia are so unsettled by each other but not prepared to admit it. And I was completely caught out by what happened at the end, NO!

bloody cliffhangers!! lol. i like your style of writing. 'though don't quite understand the time frame in which you placed the story. if it was before jack had lost the pearl the first time around, then gibbs and anna maria, etc etc characters, would not be part of the crew of the black pearl. but i say to hell with keeping to gore verbinski and boy's time line keep doing what you're doing.

This is wonderful, Ki! She is intriguing and magical and TRICKY! I love that in a character - I can't wait to see how things develop.

I really really like this Maia woman, she's strong and can look after herself. Loved the 'sword practice'! A kiss hmm...

I'm still not sure where you're going with this but I love the mystery. You have me hooked :)
