Lovely chapter, as always. Lyra reminds me of an elf in a couple ways. But don't worry, it's a good thing!

I really like that the violence affected her so severely - I mean, not that I *like* it in that way, but it was a really nice touch. And life returning to her when she was brought to the arbor, full of trees and living things, reminds me a lot of Tolkien elves - they would up and die pretty fast if someone stuck them in a dungeon, for example. But Lyra is still her own creature, unique, not too elfish or anything, so don't worry about that. I can't wait to read more of her species, should you divulge it, her kind interests me... =) I worry about what will happen to her when Bha'ruk decides that it's time. It's a rare thing when I feel for the victim in a story. Well, you know I'm a bit twisted like that when it comes to stories, I like the males to be dominating and downright evil. But with this story, since it is written the way it is and by someone who knows how to write it, it's the other way around. I'm thinking "Oh, Bha'ruk, I want to yank your sac off like a paper towel..."

MOAR! =)

I soooooo love Ta'al & Da'ar, they remind me of the medieval knight, sworn to valour, honour & chivalry, to protect the weak and all womenfolk.

I am so looking forward to the Elder's nasty end I just hope that he doesn't hurt Lyra before that happens -it WILL happen - won't it?

Again I say to you that this is a beautifully written story, the arbor scene nearly made me cry..so lovely..

Another great update, Musey.

Bha'ruk's reaction was much like I expected to be. I hope Lyra doesn't have to go through that again. Though Bha'ruk sounds like the type of male, that when it boils down to it, really wouldn't worry all that much. He will do what he does, no matter what happens to his prized possession.

I love how Da'ar made mention that he had studied the planets Lyra and the other females came from. I only hope they all get to see their home planets.

Can't wait to see what happens next, but, you know me, I'm patient and I know what it's like getting ideas out XD

Wow musey, simply WOW. It's been a long time, but it's always so very much worth it when you can bestow such wonderful writing upon us. Loved it from begining to end, there is just simply so much to enjoy. I love all the characters because they are all so unique, the innocent Lyra, the stoic O'ni, the crazed Ji'ran and the malevolant Bha'ruk. No one is alike and that just makes the story so much more fulfilling and diverse.

Very intersting idea that Lyra's kind will die if they witness murder (I assume simple "death" isn't counted since they would obviously encounter it in some form or another). I wonder if Da'ar knows a way to reverse that since he's studied them so much. O'ni intrigues me a lot, he doesn't seem like a real bad guy, just someone who wants to obey, I wonder how he'll react to what just happened?

So yeah, I was just floored by it all. I enjoyed reading it multiple times and noticing things I missed the first time, but that's the mark of a great story IMO. Bravo!

Great update Musey.

I'm glad Da'ar arrived in time to stop Ji'ran from going any further. It will be interesting to see Bha'ruk's reaction to Lyra's state.

I hope poor O'ni doesn't end up the same as Ji'ran. I hope Da'ar and Ta'al get the Lyra and the others out of there soon.

Lots of hopes. XD
