I finally got caught up! I found your fic some days ago and it's taken a while to read all the way through to the newest chapter :) (very little sleep, now I'm rather tired) Now that I did however I thought I really should say something, since obviously I wouldn't have read this far if I didn't like it. So yes I do like it. The story is very entertaining. And I think your writing has just gotten better as the story progresses. And it definitely seems like you've done more background research about Transformers since the start of the fic.
I used to be rather horrible purist about any fandom I was into... I couldn't help the reaction of "omg! that's wrong. That's not how it was in the comic/cartoon/show/whatever". I couldn't really even watch movies based on some show or comic I liked, because I just got horribly upset. Thankfully I'm mostly over that now, obvioulsy since I managed to watch and enjoy the Transformers movie ^^ And so many more fanfics to enjoy now. The point of that rather rambling explanation was to say that there are still times that I do have that same reaction. And I'll admit that I can be very nitpicky at times... well most of the time in all honesty. But if a story is captivating enough you don't get stuck on the details. And overall your story is very, very interesting and entertaining so after the first few chapters I've had no problems to just get caught in the story and forget my annoying nitpickyness (is that even a word?). When it comes to spelling I really have no room to say anything, cause mine isn't that great :) and besides you update daily!! That's like completely utterly amazing.
Sure I disagree on some characterizations, plot points and stuff like that. So what, it's your story and a damn entertaining one at that. It's not like my interpretation, or what happens to be the common interpretation in the fandom of something is the only valid one. And a lot of the stuff that's so common in TF fanfic is basically fannon... or a sort of patchwork of the different versions of G1 or any of the other TF 'verses. And you've made it clear that the story is based on the '07 movie, in that setting it wouldn't make any sense for the characters to be just like they are in the original cartoon (or whatever version of G1). They're bound to have had different experiences and... you know characther development and stuff :) In a way a lot of TF fanfic writers can't seem to see outside of that G1 box and certain interpretations of the characters have gotten so common in the fandom that that's suddenly the only right one, even though it's not actually cannon. So it is quite refreshing to get a new take on some things. And in my opinion the most important thing is that the stuff that happens makes sense in the story, so if there's a good reason to make changes to characters (or other stuff as well) and it's done well and it fits into the story you're telling... well there's nothing wrong with that. I mean basically any story will end up changing things about the characters and situations, otherwise it'd be a rather dull story, wouldn't it?
This was a very long way of saying that I think you're a very good storyteller and writer and that I've certainly enjoyed the fic this far. And that if you are good enough at telling a story certain things just don't matter. I'm not going to lie and say that misspellings don't bother me, or that I won't notice when I think someone's OOC or... well you get the point I'm sure. But the thing is you're amazingly enough managing to write an interesting story that you update every day and still keep interesting. And you're doing it for fun and because you happen to like the story you're writing (which I can completely understand because I happen to like writing myself) and it's not like you haven't made all of those things clear.
If you do decide to go through and edit the fic after you finnish the whole thing (because you will finnish it right? please?), I'll certainly enjoy reading the edited version of it (I might even get all annoying and start pointing out any possible left over mistakes, cause sometimes I can't help myself). For now I'll just go ahead and enjoy the daily updates :) And hopefully even remember to leave a comment now and then, but I'm bad at doing that.
Before I end this very long comment (how did it get this long?) I just want to say that I hope I didn't say anything offensive, because if I did I din't mean it like that. Some nuances of the English language still eascape me and I'm always left a bit nervous about accidentally insulting people when I really don't mean to '^^

*squeals* Dewbot!!! That's too cool. Sorry I haven't been reviewing like I normaly do. My mom's been in the hospital the last few days. I've been splitting my time between work and visits and only had the few hours before bed to catch up on everything around the house. *sighs* Anywho... loved the last several chapters and eagerly await more, both from the Road Trip From Hell (or is it To Hell?) and the Basement Adventure.

OMG!!! *squeels like a school girl* Dew-bot and the evil X-boxes!!! Well Dew-bot at least anyway. I do hope the X-box of DOOOM pops up though! I loved that thing! I remember my boyfriend's face when he saw that part of the movie, he was white as a sheet, it was priceless!! I always told him if he kept hiding my controlers one day my X-box would get revenge for keeping us apart. I think he might take that threat a bit more to heart now! ^.~* Ah, good times!

one tiny point it takes 5 hours to travel from the oregon cal border to portland oregon which is on the washington oregon boarder on I5 and there are no toll roads in oregon yet. Love your story , keep on writting please,

I love Blaster and Soundwaves interactions!! They are so cute! They have a may/december-ish feel to their relationship because of Soundwaves reserved, mature personality and Blaster's coltish one. They are definitly in my top five of the pairings your featuring!

I read your massive authors note on chapter 106 and just had to stop and review. In my humble oppinion you are made of nothing but win and I have been anxiously awaiting your updates since before your daily updates started! *huggles* Sadly my interweb was murdered the other day and we just got it back or else I would have shouted my support right after you posted the chapter.
There are no buts in my declaration only praise and love for the writer of one of my top five fave fics! I love Cover Me, mistakes, OOC characters and all! Heck it's the brightest part of my day sometimes, I can always count on this fic to make me smile before I go to sleep so keep it up and don't let those over critical yuppies bring you down! <3
PS. I love how you portray Missfire, Megatron and Primus!! Even if everything else was crap, they are so awesome I would read anyway. It just makes everything that much better that the entire fic is brilliant! *^^*
