I actually quite liked the ending. Maybe it was wrong of me to laugh. XDDDD Sad though it was. =( Damn you Barbossa! Great fic. ^-^

I liked a lot of things about this story. It's well written and it captures Barbossa superbly. I am one of those who thinks Barbossa is evil, and I didn't hate him in this because he was portrayed as evil so I didn't get angry and think "Yeah but what about all those rotten things he did?" as I tend to do when Barbossa is portrayed as a sweet guy.

There were a couple of areas that made the story seem a bit Alternative Universe in terms of the characterization of Jack, though. In the film, Jack shot Barbossa when Barbossa was about to shoot Elizabeth in cold blood, so there were more layers to the shooting than Jack's revenge. The other thing is, it seems from the first film that Jack didn't incorporate killing into piracy, so the description of him surviving as captain by his crew killing everyone in sight surprised me. Barbossa said to Jack in the first film that his preference for negotiation over violence was what caused the mutiny against Jack.

Good work overall, tho.

Interesting twist of a story about the both men. Love it.

I always wanted to read it, it rocked btw! considering how depressing it was...

oh i loved it. bit depressing yeah, but i love it anyway!! that last line was brilliant. "Oh for fucks sake"
