she also said "it's better to be an old man's princess than a young man's slave" (assuming the 'old man' has some wealth. i think.) but she was always spouting things like "it's better to get paid for it than to give it away for nothing" ... mum was unique.

one wonders if he had ever considered actually courting her and not in the freakish way he did the first time when she asked to be rid of her brother. he's been non-human for so long that he's forgotten the basics.

funny about that list of books, i have read some really good anime adaptation/fanfics based on those same stories...

anyway, good chapter and i'm sure that you will be giving your OC an interesting personality. jareth's eyes and ears, maybe he'll become enamored with sarah the way all of his subjects are apt to.

sorry about chapter nine, seems i have been remiss. seems jareth just doesn't 'get it' yet. oh well, more entertainment for us.

at least she should have asked for different clothes while hers are getting washed instead of a dressing gown (robe?). didn't you describe a shelf of books or she is going to be one bored captive.
