After 18 chapters, you still have me enthralled.
I can't give you any con/crit as everything you've done so far is absolutely perfect. Keep up the great work! I can't wait to see what direction you take this in next. :)

Oh I am such a bad fangirl, never did review the last chapter. 17 was brilliant, and I LOVED the reveal. It was intense and overwhelming and perfect. And now this! I applaud your courage in having Elizabeth pull away from him. It makes sense, and while there were definitely canon moments where I would believe she loved him, even if only a little, I could easily see her denying that to herself and certainly to him. Or perhaps she felt admiration, even affection, but not love. In any case, it seems right that she would need time to wrap her head around it all, and wouldn't just reassure him that all was well. Love Jack in this, as always, he's grand fun, and his double-agent-ness is so perfectly Jack. Never quite sure who side he's really on. New Norrington as bad guy? Works brilliantly! You wouldn't expect it, so it's that much more fun! I do so look forward to more!

Oh the angst!! I love it. And Hector is a mean bugger for goading her on like that, and deliberately hurting the poor girl. She's got a flood of memories to try and sort through, and he's being a right bastard. Just like a man to strike out like that and protect his delicate feelings. Not too happy with him right now. But I do feel sorry for him underneath it all. But if he would have taken a pause and let everything marinate for a hot second, and let Lizzie work through everything, I'm sure that she would have gotten over everything eventually, if Hector hadn't hurt her. I loved that Jack was wearing that robe. I laughed out loud when I read that. It made me think about Fight Club when Brad Pitt was wearing that fuzzy pink robe. Am I weird for thinking that's kind of hot? LOL. I loved Hector's reaction to seeing more of Jack than he wanted. That was too funny. And of course they were going to be at each other's throats, like always. Can't get along those too. And Jack, always playing the devil's advocate. He is rather good at it though. ^.^ I was expecting a full out, beat the piss out of each other fist fight, good for relieving stress. Oh Hector, you let her go off with Norrington. *shakes head* If only Jack had told him the day before that he was a bad guy. I hope that they can get to her and rescue her in time, but I doubt that she will be too happy to see Hector, and won't want to go with him. She's going to want to have a good cry, or break something. ^.^ I can't wait to read more, as always. I read in your author's note that you weren't feeling well. Are you sick? *gives Laura some homemade chicken noodle soup* I hope you feel better. XXOO

Oi vey. She remembered, and now she's all mad. Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later. Poor Hector, and poor Elizabeth. *sigh* I hope they are able to work through everything, and get back together. Where did Miss Swann run off to? Her ship? I highly doubt she would run off to Jack for comfort, I'm not too sure if she has happy feelings toward him. Sheesh, this is an awful cliffie woman!! I am sorry it took so long for me to review. I read your story the day I got the email, but then our internet was disonnected for a few days. I am very attached to my computer, and by the time we got it back, I was twitching and scratching from withdrawls. LOL. I can't wait to find out what happens next. And I am sorry this review isn't longer, I know normally I leave...a book of a review almost, but my baby is jumping all over me, and it's very distracting. LOL. Atempting to wait patiently for the next chapter.....XXOO

SHE'S BACK! And Barbossa seems, um...what's the word? Heartbroken, maybe? idk. How did Barbossa turn undead in the moonlight? He was just immortal, not undead... or is that an untold secret about him that we haven't learned in the story yet? What was running thru Lizzie's mind when she saw and heard everything in the cave?

VERY GOOD CHAPTER! CAN'T WAIT FER THE NEXT ONE! KEEP 'EM COMIN'!

I'm really enjoying your story - WANT MORE!

I keep trying to see in my mind's eye what Barbossa would look like in modern dress, etc. I haven't quite gotten the picture yet - but it sure is fun trying. Maybe if I try without his modern clothing ( or any? )- something Quillish, but with a somewhat different face?

Anyhow, please post more soon! I keep checking back everyday!

I like how you are capturing Elizabeth, including her straight forwardness and the fact that she always trying to prove herself, to herself and everyone around her. She keeps awkwardly trying her independence.

thanks!

Uh-oh. The trouble is starting. I can't wait. This story is getting......very seat of your pants...LOL. I loved Jack's reaction to their kiss. Gagging, and wanting to poke his eyes out with a stick, that was funny, and very Jack. ^.^ Ahh Miss Beth, you assert yourself girl!! Don' take crap from no one!! You don't need protection!! I hate that about men. Ugh. Seriously, we aren't made of china or anything. I also wanted tp take a moment to thank you for getting Jack's speech right. I hate it when authors make him talk all...Ye be gettin' on me nerves, and such. Did they not watch the movies? Seriously, he is very eloquent, albeit confusing sometimes, but eloquent none-the-less. And so is Hector. I love love reading...(well, when I read, I see the story, so I am actually hearing him speak LOL) his dialogue. It's very pretty. I suppose that Hector was talking up a storm to you in this chapter. Oh, LOL. I loved his distaste for the Honda. LOL. That was funny. And the sissy bar. I bet he was quite indignant when you told him that he was going to be riding on one of those abominations. LOL. Almost as bad, is not worse than those little crotch rocket ninja things. LOL. Well, I can't wait to read more of this wonderful, wonderful, story. ^.^ XXOO

Ah, the plot thickens yet again! I'm quite intrigued by these mysterious villains of yours, and must wonder if they are someone from the PotC universe, reborn or still around. Most of the major players are already accounted for, but if it's someone who has an interest in the Pearl...perhaps Davy Jones? Beckett or his modern equivalent? Hmmm....just pondering out loud here, and eagerly anticipating answers in future chapters! :-)

OH.MY.GOD. You, my dear, dear authoress, are fantastic. This story, is beautiful. The Hector you have written is a wonderful, rougishly handsome man. I adore that he is the member of a motor cycle gang. I can really see his ginger hair braided, his beard as well, all dressed in leather, boots, one of those round helmets, riding along on a big beast of a harley, maybe an older one, and Indian or something. ^.^ I can really see a modern day Hector being a biker. And now whenever I watch any POTC movie after reading your, and Grace Lee's stories, I look for bits of attraction and such between the two. LOL. The way Hector speaks, is simply beautiful. He is still poetic, still speaks in the way he did so long ago, and it is well, *him*. You've really got him down my dear. I am so glad that you posted this wonderful, wonderful story. I know I am jumping around everywhere, I am trying to touch on everything while it is still fresh in my mind, and I am not really coming off as eloquent. LOL. Beth, is wonderful too. Ever strong, ever stubborn, ever independant...And I have to admit, I cheered when Jack came into the picture. When I read about the boat scraping against the hull, I had a gut feeling it was him. And how interesting that she remembered, well, almost remembered him. He is quite unforgetable. LOL. I loved it when he was hopping about on the deck trying to retrieve his phone from his pocket, and Hector's commentary on it. I love all the angst and the torture, I am eager to see what happens with Calypso, what her plans are for Beth and Barbossa, who these people are that Marilyn set on them. And by the way, poor thing. I know what it is like to love somebody, and to not have that love returned. Yes, she was a traiterous wench, but she still loved him for all those years, and all he was focused on was finding his Elizabeth again, and then when he found her, she had to witness him become all...twitter-pated with her. Ah well, may she rest in peace. I hope this review is conveying everything I want to say. For a writer, sometimes I leave pretty ineloquent reviews. LOL. I can't wait to read more. XXOO
