Pardon my French, but jesus fucking christ, you live! It's unbelievably good to see that you haven't fallen into orbit. And you've returned to us with a goodie! I love it. I have yet to see the new movie, but I will be soon, me thinks. Everything looks wonderful, as usual, though the chapter seems to have been pasted twice?

I saw this first on FF.net but I felt that I'd rather review here seeing as you'll likely get more reviews on that site than this one. So far this is interesting and well written. Any mistakes that there might have been in grammar or spelling I skipped right over, so either I was too in engrossed in where you were going with this or they just didn't stand out screaming at me like that sort of thing usually does. It's too short for me to give a true opinion on other than it was good but I'm looking forward to more so that I can get a better feel both for the story and your writing style. But in the short term let me say that I feel thus far your characterizations are well done in terms of the worrying mother-hen McCoy and eternally quietly curious Spock... Although, maybe Kirk is just a touch too bashful – especially with the ducking of his head thing. Typically speaking, he's pretty brash and even a touch narcissistic but this is your story and if that bit of OOC serves your purposes then go for it. Please continue with this. I’d very much like to read more.
