Excellent writing. You carried the tone of the story beautifully - storytelling that made sense coming from the memories of a man primarily heterosexual, recalling the unusual and intense friendship he kept with an inexplicable friend, and the stunningly believable single sexual encounter they shared. Through your deft, subtle craft, the scene plays out perfectly. No wasted words, no clichés.

I really, really enjoyed this. I've always loved both the book and the film, and the pairing is just a wonderful one. I love the setting, the descriptions, and it flowed really well. It was really just lovely. Very nicely done xx
