You captured the doctor's contempt for Sally's decision, and her position in Jack's life very well.
The switching between scenes in town and scenes in the tower made for quite a few comical moments, especially when the mayor mentions him not returning to the party. I found that most amusing.
I liked this piece. It was an entertaining read. Thank you for sharing!
