Sigh. Perfect, absolutely perfect. Sweet, romantic, and "scorching hot," (loved that line!), you captured my characters with grace and...did I say perfection? Yes? Well, it holds true.
*"Hold that thought," he grinned.* *Such* a Stonewall line - love, just love! I don't care what you say, you've got a great handle on him, and I could picture him so perfectly, here. Kali, too, is beautifully portrayed, and her "sparkling eyes" reminded me of "Awakening." :D
I love that this could fit into either timeline, and all the details that you've captured in Kali's braid, Stone's scar and even the copious birdsong of Mundali, but more than that was the sheer, overwhelming love and affection between these two, which you - forgive the pun - nailed. It's wonderful to read, and gives me a fresh perspective on my own characters, which is something I treasure more than I can really express.
After a crap day, this was beyond a wonderful surprise, and I'm so happy that they "bothered" you enough to write this! Thank you for this piece of loveliness! :D
