Isn't it strange that Jack started to take his revenge on the girl, not her father first? After all, he'd betrayed her too, seduced, left and crushed her dreams. Wasn't it a payback good enough? If "each one is for himself", then shouldn't ones who had wronged the captain pay for their own crimes?
Well, Jack has never been a noble person, so it sounds like a prologue to a sadist's revenge on his prey. But this "I’d rather cut off my own hands than touch you again " sounds quite intriguing.
Personally, I'm not sure Jack will keep hiw word but let's see! Good luck with your writing.
