That's too bad. I've had that happen to me before. I suggest writing your chapter on paper first and then typing it, that way if your computer does lose it, you will still have it and you won't have to rewrite it. As I do better doing it on paper first that works for me, but I know some people have issues with writing on paper and then gong to type it up. So it's just a suggestion =)

Good chapter. Poor jack. All that soup he had to eat. But that was a good plan Elizabeth came up with though. :-) Finally the curse is broken. Now on to juicy stuff. Plus I want to see what else Elizabeth has planned.

You have yet to dissappoint. Hope Will gets rescued though. I'm not a fan of Barbosa! ^_^

OMG! I can't wait to find out what happens! Poor Will! This is so well-written, and it really stands out against most of the other fics in this section. I hope to see more soon!

Oh, it's so exciting. The year of the story is some time just before 1692. How do I know? http://nautarch.tamu.edu/portroyal/

Read the history of Port Royal there. It was devastated by an earthquake - to quote: On the morning of June 7th, 1692, a massive earthquake hit Jamaica. The tremors rocked the sandy peninsula on which the town was built, causing buildings to slide and disappear beneath the sea. An estimated 2000 Port Royalists were killed immediately in the disaster. Many more perished from injuries and disease in the following days.

I was doing research for my own fan fic!

Love your story. I'm still praying for your friend's father. Hopefully they got it all and he will recover fully.

YAY! *does happy dance* I'm so glad this chapter is out. I just /LOVE/ this fic. That was really funny, the whole Jack soup thingy. Much funnyness. That was so sad that Will passed out there at the end! I was like, 'Oh sad!' Definitely looking forward to the next chapter, after that hint you gave us. Will gets his first taste as a consort... dun dun DUN! *grins* Can't wait to read that! And I agree, while I may be sick, a lot of people are! And I love how long your stories are, makes ml hal happy to hear that usually they get longer as the fic progresses. Nothing better than long chapters I tell ya. Anywho, as I've said several times, I sooo can't wait for the next chapter. Keep up the /FANTASTIC/ work!!!!!!

First of all, I'm enjoying your story as one of the best in the PoTC fandom.

A few historical notes: I estimated by the clothing worn in the movie tit tit takes place somewhere in the mid-1700's. This was the period that was the height of piracy in the Caribbean. Also, the complete lack of any mention of Americans makes me think that America is still part of the British colonies that include the Caribbean islands at this time.

About chocolate: by this time, it would long have been a well-known luxury, and would have been called "chocolate" by the English, from the Spanish corruption of the Aztec word. (Remember, it's at least two hundred years after Cortez.) So Will's naivety doesn't make sense.
