Yes, you are correct about a chemise being a type of undergarment. Back then they didn't have bras, and the corset was just being introduced to some parts of the world, if you remember from the movie the corset was new to Elizabeth. But back to the chemise, it was used as a night-gown, and a women's type of undershirt, for lack of a better word.
And to comment on your story, I must say that I was amazed that you kept to the old-fashioned lingo. I was quite impressed, and I must tell you that I approve of your creativity, for comming up with the idea of Will being an eunuch. very clever indeed! I hope to read some more of your work soon.

It was well-written, for a PWP. My only complaint is that if Jack wanted to take Elizabeth, and Elizabeth was willing, I doubt he'd care about her and Will at all. He's a pirate, not a saint.
