this didn't suck. it is perfect to start a little series of stories. keep going with this story i got a feeling that it is going to be a winner.

It didn't totally suck! You're too hard on yourself!
The idea is GREAT, and it has a great plot. There are VERY few errors that I noticed, and the only other thing that 'sucked', was that Will was OOC. I mean (and I say this in the kindest waom oom one author to another) Will may be broken, but he's like a school girl, having problems with raging hormones. *giggles* Like PMS or a pregnant woman. *pictures the image and bursts out laughing*
Yes, it would be good for Will to be broken and angsty, but have him still hide his emotions from Jack. He doesn't know that he's found the bottle. He doesn't want to scare his true love away.
The scene of him in the ocean was LOVELY, as are some of the other images. I can sill ill crying silently, but I can't really see him sobbing (unless he's completely pissed drunk). I see him as the type to wipe away his tears and pretend he wasn't caught crying (unless Jack beats some sense into him ^__^)
Like I said, a GREAT story so far, there are just a FEW adjustments you need. I wouldn't mind reading it again. obabobably will, if no one else updates their PotC fics soon.

It didn't suck! All these Jack/Will Fictions mostly have sex in them. It's really nice to read a Jack/Will fic that's not about sex!

That was a suberb piece of fanfiction, a bit soap opera ish, try to tone it down slightly and explain a bit more in your fic. DOn't count yourself down.
It was a lovely beginging, if you don't keep writing I'll cull you.
