Unfortunately, BOTH Jack and Norrington seemed WAY OOC. Norrington, while being "the protector of justice" and all of that, is not a heartless bastard, as evidenced at the end of the movie ("one day's head start"), and shouldn't be portrayed as someone who would debase even his worst enemy.

The jail rapes really aught to be commited by an OC or one of Barbossa's crew, as they were the only ones bloodthirsty enough to warrant it. Certainly not Norrington, whose only pitfall is that he's a little colorblind (sees onl bla black and white, and, since Jack is a pirate and pirates are evil, therefore Jack must be evil), and thus ignorant. Ignorance is forgiveable and curable. What you've done here isn't.

Ahhhh~~~~ evivil vil Norrington. Stupid jerk, how dare he hurt Jack. Serve him right for getting gutted.

Norrington was really vicious, but I guess it was ok for the sake for the plot. Your Jack was really in character though, totally calm and well, Jack-lish in the face of danger and impending death.

This is a wonderful starts to a series....it is a series right? There is gonna be a next chapter right? It better be ^_^ Can't wait to read it. Will would wanted to comfort Jack, wouldn't he.

Lor, you never cease to amaze me! This close to perfection when it comes to a characterization of Jack. I've said it before and I'll say it again ... you are totally channeling him! Your dialogue is wonderfully in keeping with the time period. Bravo! Totally fantastic.
