Chapter 1: Perfect
Last years events were almost forgotten, no one talked about it, at least not in front of each other. Letty decides to stick around and becomes permanent at DT Garage. The past year had came and gone in a flash. Mia was so excited about the wedding, she chose an August weeding and it was just around the corner. The past few weeks have been hectic, the catering which consists of the finest Cuban foods, the hall is the where Mia’s parents had been wed, the bridesmaid dresses, it was more overwhelming than anyone could have imagined. Of course her family had been more than supportive and helped in any way possible. All her girlfriends were her bridesmaids, Mini, Coco, Letty and Lisa. Brian chose Dom to be his best man and Mia chose Eva as her maid of honor, it was perfect.
Early on Friday morning, Eva receives a phone call from her mother, Erica was getting in trouble, hanging with the wrong crowd and her stubbornness was a little more than Gloria can appreciate. Gloria’s suggestion? For Erica to spend what was left of the summer with her big sister. Eva was a little hesitant at first but agreed to it, she discusses it with Dom and decided it might be good for her. After all, when Mia left for her honeymoon, Eva was going to need help at the store. Eva calls her brother Oscar, he is definitely doing much better, he started working at The Racers Edge, after Brian talked to Harry and reminded him of a favor he owed him. Erica is leaving for California in two days, Oscar agreed to pick her up from the Los Angeles airport on Monday.
The next day both Dom and Eva are getting ready to start their day. Eva is getting dressed and begins to explain her agenda to Dom.
“Today I have to close early, Mia and I have to tie some loose ends with the caterer and our dresses, oh and tomorrow you have to come with me, I want to make sure your tux fits and if not then we need time for the tailor to fix it” Eva’s talking so fast Dom has to laugh.
“I see my sisters frantic state has rubbed of on you” he’s putting on his mechanic jumper. “My sister’s lucky to have a best friend like you. I don’t know what she would have done without you”
“Thanks, I’m just so exited for her. Mia works so hard in school and Brian is such a great guy. They both deserve to be happy.” She puts her loose chocolate curls in a ponytail, so they cascade down her back. She’s wearing a jean khaki colored skirt that falls right above her knees with a split in the front, a white button down shirt that fits her like a glove and white flip flops. Dom stares at her and smiles inwardly, he walks to her and hugs her from the back, burying his nose in her hair as he takes in her scent. The smells of vanilla and peach soothe him, the same smell she always left on her pillow, that smell alone would have him harder than a rock on occasions.
“You look beautiful” it never failed, he always surprised her, the moment was never too dull for him to compliment her.
“Dom, my hair isn’t even done” she turns around to face him. He moves in for what seems like a quick kiss, but grabs her waist with one hand and the back of her neck with the other, he takes his time teasing her with his tongue, when he pulls back he smiles, acknowledging the effect he just had on her.
“We have a few minutes before I have to go... you wanna... you know” he raises his eyebrows up and down with a devilish grin.
“You don’t have to tell me twice” before they know it both of them are naked and making love. What was supposed to be minutes turned into hours, now both of them were late.
