Would be Heroes
***This is a work in progress. Please rate and review. I don't own the main characters from the movie but I do have rights to the other characters I have put into the story.***
Chapter one: Would be Heroes.
Coach Boomer looked over the small cluster of freshmen that gathered in the gym and smirked. “You.” He demanded, pointing to a young man with spiky green hair. “What’s your name and what’s your power?”
“Tyler Swin.“ The young man said as he jumped up on the platform and with a devilish grin turned himself into a walking talking humanoid puddle of liquid magma.
“Hero.” The coach announced as the young man returned to normal and went back to the small grouping. “Next up is you stripes.” He sneered at a young woman who had stripes of blue, purple and red running through her pale blonde locks.
She walked slowly onto the stage and looked the older man in the eyes. “Dominique La’Fer. I’m a telepath.” She answered curtly.
“Well then lets have a show. What number am I thinking of?”
She cocked a pale eyebrow. “Why should I stoop to your simple games when you don’t believe in the power of psychics anyway?”
He smirked and looked down at his clipboard to find her name, nothing made him happier then kicking cocky freshmen into sidekick classes. “Siiii…. Hero.” He announce after catching the notation next to her name.
She shrugged and went back to the huddle of students, watching with disinterest as all the other super powered teenagers where placed as heroes or sidekicks. None of it really mattered to her, it wouldn’t be long before she was shunned and rejected. The children of super villains always were.

Warren Peace had the worst headache of his life. A dull pounding at the base of his skull made worse by the constant chattering of Zach and Ethan.
“You okay Warren?” A familiar and far less annoying voice broke into his daze.
Warren looked up at Will Stronghold, poised to sit beside him tray in hand. “Yeah. Just have a headache. Probably caused by these two.”
Will nodded and sat down, “Hard to believe it’s the start of a new school year already. Wonder if anything as interesting as Royal Pain is going to show up this year…”
“Oh god I hope not.” Layla groaned, slipping onto the bench beside Will. “I would like to just have a normal Sophomore year thank you.”
“Oh my god…” Ethan muttered, the color draining from his face. “I think that freshmen is… Dominique La’Fer…”
“Who?” Layla, Zach, Will, and Magenta all asked in unison.
“Dominique La’Fer, daughter of super villains The Fear, and Mind Burst. You’re parents have fought against them a lot Will. I can’t believe you didn’t know about her.”
“Great… someone else who is going to hate me because of who my parents are.” Will sighed.
“Naw, you’ll win her over with your charm.” Warren joked, elbowing the other boy in the side.
The group laughed, remembering the trouble that was caused between Warren and Will at the beginning of the previous year. But all of them silently hoped that it would not be the same with the new freshman.
