Labyrinth 2

AN: You know... I had a dream last night. In my dream Jareth came to me and said “I
like spaghetti.” Ok, maybe I didn’t have that dream, but Jareth is still mine. (Besides in
rights... *cowers* Dont sue me Jim Henson...)

Chapter 10

When Toby finally felt ground under his feet, he opened his eyes and let his grip of
death ease off Crystal’s arm.

“Damn kid. You weren’t going anywhere.”

Toby blushed a little and looked at the ground. “I know...”

Crystal smiled and pointed towards the east. “Now, usually, we would have to scale the
Labyrinth to get to the castle. But since your lucky, I think we might just skip over that
part.”

“Won’t they find out we are here?”

“I dont think they really care. They are probably too interested in finding Sarah and
getting Jareth to turn against her.”

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

“What do you mean she’s gone?” Micheal roared at the guards. “How could she just get
up and walk out? You idiots!”

“But, m’lord... she didn’t walk out.”

“What? How then? She couldn’t just disappear.”

“She was moaning in her sleep m’lord. And she murmured your mother’s name.”

Micheal whipped his head sound and stared at the creature. “That wench. How dare
she interfere.”

“M’lord?”

“Find Sarah. She needs to be found. Or at least lead to the gates of the Labyrinth. Is
that Hogwart guy doing fairy extinguishing still?”

“I think so m’lord, and it’s Hoggle.”

“Whatever, tell him he needs to go do his job. She’ll be happy to see him. He can let
her in.”

“Yes, m’lord.”

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Sarah stood in front of the gates and sighed. *How the hell am I supposed to open
these things?* She kicked at the doors and swore as a ping of pain ran through her leg.

“Oh give me a break! Why wont you open?”

A loud sound erupted through the desolate wasteland and the gates opened, revealing
the Labyrinth walls.

“Thank-you. Jesus Christ, do things really need to be this hard?”

She walked in and heard a voice from behind her. She turned quick and couldn’t
believe her eyes.

“Sarah! Wait!”

“Toby?”

“Sarah, get out of there!”

“Who the hell are you?” Sarah looked at the girl leading Toby towards the Labyrinth.

“Quick! Before it closes!”

But as soon as Sarah reacted, the doors snapped shut.

“Toby? Toby can you hear me?”

She pounded on the doors, flailing her arms and squealing in frustration.

“It no use ya know.”

Sarah turned at the voice and smiled to herself.

“Ello.” She mocked her best British accent.

“Been practicing,eh?” the worm replied.

“Why can’t they hear me?”

The worm laughed and shook his head. “I’m still just a worm.”

Sarah laughed at herself. “I forgot.” She turned and looked down the right passage
way. “Well, I went that was last time. It got me nowhere but lost. So I guess I’ll go this
way.”

She turned left and stared walking.

“Wait. Don’t go that way.!”

She sighed and looked at the worm. “Look. I know your “just a worm”, but your probably
a false alarm. For all I know, you could have totally threw me off last time. Thanks for
the advise, but I think I can handle this.” She turned and started walking away from the
worm.

“Oh no. Jareth’s not going to like this. She’s in serious trouble now. Stubborn little girl.”
the worm nodded and agreed with himself and then went inside to have a cup of tea
with the misses.

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

“FUCK!”

Toby giggled a little as Crystal swore up and down, left and right, and then some other
directions he wasn’t sure he wanted to know.

“She’ll be ok. She went through it once before.”

Crystal smiled at Toby. “Your right. Accept now there is a psychotic asshole running it
instead of a king.”

Toby looked crestfallen.

“I didn’t mean that Toby. I know she will be ok. At least the doll went back to normal.
That means whoever was looking like her, is in their true for now. Come on.”

“Where are we going?”

“Shortcut.” Crystal smiled and grabbed Toby’s hand.

Toby anxiously waited for Crystal to make another move. They had been walking strait
along the outer wall for what seemed like forever.

“Umm... isn’t there an end to this wall.”

“Depends on the time of day. The Labyrinth is always changing. Usually depending on
it’s mood.”

“But, that means, if it had feelings,”

“Yeah. It’s alive. It lives and breaths in it’s own sense. It’s magic is powerful and the
Goblin King, whoever it is, has the right to tap into it.”

“Awesome.”

Crystal smiled and looked down at Toby. “But you dont need to be fae to have magic
powers.”

“I know.” Toby replied. “Sarah’s got magic powers. I know she does. I can see it in her
eyes.”

“That’s right. She does.”

“Where did she get them?” Toby asked.

“From the Labyrinth. She beat it, remember?”

“But I thought she was going against your brother?”

“No. That’s a common misconception.”

“Miscomwhatcha?”

“Misconception. It means people assume that’s how it is. They are confused about the
truth.”

“Oh.”

“Anyway, Jareth is kinda like a human form of the Labyrinth. He can feel what it feels
and he can almost talk to it. They are linked through his kingship.”

“So they kinda work like a team?”

“Almost. Jareth can’t live without the labyrinth and vice versa. But, Jareth can
manipulate the Labyrinth to his liking, as long as it doesn’t endanger anyone.”

“Wow. It actually cares about people?”

“Another misconception. The Labyrinth is peaceful by nature. When stupid people
abuse it or try and destroy it, it can get an attitude.”

“And Jareth?”

“Keh. Jareth’s got an attitude no matter what. He has to be an Ice King to people who
go through it because it’s his job.”

“But he like seduced my sister.”

“Your sister was different. He fell in love with your sister.”

“My sister loves him too.”

“I know.”

They walked in silence and Crystal could almost hear the gears turning in Toby’s head
as the information settled in.

“One more thing Crystal...”

“Yeah Toby?”

“Would Jareth have really turned me into a goblin?”

“No Toby. He would have given you back regardless.”

“Regardless of what?”

“Of what your sister decided.”

“She had a choice?”

“Your sister was young Toby, too young to understand advances and too young to
understand what dreams were. When my brother told her he would give her her
dreams, she didn’t understand that he wanted her to stay and be his queen, and rule
with him. She was worried about you, and Jareth knew that. So he let her go and sent
me to look after her.”

“You came to earth because of us?”

“Toby, we are still on earth. This the Underground. You live in the Aboveground. Same
world, almost.”

“So, if Jareth get’s Sarah to marry him, will I never see her again?”

“No. Toby, Jareth is not an evil person. His perona of him is really off balance with his
actual self. She will endowed with the powers of the Labyrinth, just like my mom was.”

“This is so cool.”

“Yeah sure. Cool.” Crystal smiled and roughed up Toby’s hair. She looked at the wall
and stopped, grabbing Toby by his shirt.

“What’s going on.”

“It’s gonna shift.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah. When I say, run as fast as you can.”

Toby nodded and waited for the command.

“Alright... NOW!”

Toby ran as fast as his little legs could carry him. He looked up and didn’t see an
opening and trued to stop.

“No Toby, just RUN!”

Toby heard Crystal yell from in front of him and didn’t think about it another second. He
ran forward and hold his breath as neared the wall. Passing through it he gazed around
in wonder as he saw the walls shifting and moving. Running on Crystal’s heals he
never stopped to see Sarah running along the opposite side of the Labyrinth.

“Were almost there! Keep going!” Crystal yelled behind her. She came to a halt in front
of that gates to the Goblin City and waited anxiously for Toby. Soon after her, he came
barreling out of the wall structure.

“Holy shit.”

“Toby! You shouldn’t be swearing!”

Toby blushed a little. “Sorry... that was just.... pretty weird.” He breathed out between
intakes of breath.

“You did good.” she patted him on the back.

“I think I saw Sarah.”

Crystal laughed a little and breathed in deep, thinking carefully.

“It’s possible. I highly doubt she was running down a passage though. She might have
been though, her magic is probably evolving.”

Toby’s breathing returned to normal and he looked at the tall gates.

“What now?”

“Now we wait.”

“For what?”

“A sign that Jareth’s alive.”

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

“Now Jareth, your little pigeon is running through one of those god forsaken secret
passages, how did she know where they were?” Lielle stalked in front of the drugged
king.

“Bite me, Lielle.” Jareth retorted.

“Keh. Only in your dreams. How did she know?”

“I have no idea. Ask the Labyrinth.”

“Don’t be stupid, Jareth. I am loosing my patience.”

“I’m being serious. Ask The Labyrinth.”

“The Labyrinth is nothing more than stone and dust. A mere obstacle you put your little
rats in to run. It means nothing to me.”

“I would be careful what you say, Lielle.”

“Oh bite me, Jareth.”

“Not even in your dreams.” Jareth answered with a evil smile.

“M’lady,” a small voice echoed in the throne room, “the passage has closed, but she is
close. What should we do?”

Lielle wickedly smiled. “Let Jareth handle this one.”

“I’m not doing anything to her.” Jareth spoke, a tinge of fear in his voice.

“You will if I make you.” Micheal’s voice came crashing through the room. “The little
wench escaped with he help of our dear mother. And then made it in before the
Hogbrain could get here.”

“His name is Hoggle.” Jareth spoke up.

“Whatever. Jareth, I have a special task for you.” Micheal walked up to Jareth and lifted
his brother’s chin. “Your darling mortal needs some love. She needs some guidance.
Go to her. Love her. Break her down.”

“Not a chance.” Jareth spit at this brother.

“I had a feeling you would say that.” Micheal reached into his pocket and pulled out a
vile. “Your mortal had very interesting tasting blood. Care to try it?” He held the vile up
and popped open the cork. He signaled for Lielle to come closer and sliced her arm
with his claw. Dripping some of the blood in he vile, he shook it numerous amounts of
times and then looked at Jareth. “And a little something to add flavor.” He smiled and
punched his brother in the face. Collecting a couple drops of his blood and then adding
some of his own, he shook it again. “Now open wide.”

“Fuck you.” Jareth yelled and clamped his mouth closed.

“As you wish, my brother.”
Micheal moved behind his brother and started to undo his pants. He reached around
the front of Jareth and grabbed him in a provocative way.

“What the fuck are you,”

Lielle moved with lightning speed and downed the vile in Jareth’s mouth. Reflexes took
over his body and he swallowed some of the potion.

“Now my brother,” Jareth heard his brother talking and went to retort. But found he
couldn’t move or say anything, “are you ready?”

“Yes.” Jareth heard himself answer and cursed inside his head. *Shit.*

*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

“NO! I was SO FUCKING CLOSE!” Sarah collapsed to the ground and began to sob.

“It’s not fair!”

“No it’s not.”

Sarah’s head snapped up at the voice and couldn’t believe her eyes.

“J...Jareth?”

“My love, why do you cry so?”

“I was trying to get to the castle to beat the shit out of that skank who made you believe
it was me your were screwing.”

“But, it was you.”

*No. Stop*

“No it wasn’t. Jareth are you ok?” Sarah began to scale up the wall and when she
stood, started backing away from Jareth who was now stalking towards her.

“Come here, my Sarah.”

*NO Sarah, stay away!*

“No. Jareth, something’s not right.”

“What’s not right,” Jareth backed her into a corner and closed in on her, “Is you being
so afraid of me. Don’t you love me Sarah?”

“Jareth. What’s going on? I thought you were... Oh my god. Jareth get away from me.”

“Sarah, do not defy me.”

“HELP!” Sarah screamed at the top of her lungs. “Somebody! Anyone! Help me!”

“It’s not use, my love.”

Sarah pushed roughly into Jareth and tried to shake him off her, to no avail.

“You’ll like it, I promise.” Jareth whispered before crushing his lips into hers.

*My god. What a sick asshole. So help me god Micheal, when I get the chance.*

“Jareth, stop!”

“Come on Sarah, take it like a man.”

Sarah closed her eyes and sobbed while Jareth slowly peeled off her clothes.

“Please, Jareth...”

“Well, if you want it that bad...”

Sarah shook with the sobs and the fear as a demonic smile spread across his features.

“Your going to like it Sarah.”
