I do not own the Pirates of the Caribbean movie series, nor any of the characters from it. I do not make any money from the writing of this story.
Interlude
I just have to clarify things on the marriage at sea part.
Sorry if I confused you all; yes, I know it can be legal now, but this is only if your captain is also a recognised JP, or equivalent in the area of your choice to marry, which is quite rare and has to be thought out before hand. And let's face it in this day and age, where people are used to getting what they want, there's isn't a lot that can't be done!
I belive P & O actually have special cruises where you can get married by the Captain and then have your honeymoon on the ship... sounds fantastic doesn't it?
But this has to be legally and above board, so don't go thinking you can get married on your local ferry, cause it just ain't legal.
There is a plaque which have been atested to being seen, which I haven't though, which reads: "Any marriages performed by the captain of this ship are valid for the duration of the voyage only."
Now that sounds even better... ;-)
But for my story, obviously back then, sea captains didn't have the capacity to marry anyone.
Sorry if I did confuse anyone; I should have been clearer; being a geek, I love obscure things and I found this very interesting research... but then I am a geek....;-)
