Chapter Ten: Fairy Tales, I Think Not

Marionette noticed the worried expression on Totec's face as he sat by her at the fire, the rest of the Demons and Angelique slept. Along with the babies sleeping in a tent of course. Totec just stared into the fire. Warmed completely already.

" Jedah will take good care of Tori." Marionette began.

Totec still stared into the fire." He had better. Or I will bestow upon him only his worse nightmares could produce." Totec stated.

Marionette smiled.She was about to say something, Verano mumbled something in his sleep then in turn, Lilith mumbled something like," No shit." Almost like they were talking to eachother in their sleep.

" What the hell is the deal with these nut jobs you and Doma call followers?" Totec asked. Poking a stick around in the fire.

" Well a couple of them,like Verano and Sabbath, have served Jedah since before Lucifer was banished to the Abyss." Marionette explained." What about your followers, your cenobites, your friends, family."

" Friends? Family?"Totec stared confused for a moment at her.

" Weither you wish to admit it or not, those Cenobites as you call them, trust you, they would willingly sacrifice their lives for you. That is family to me. My race has always believed it."

Totec looked at her. He saw pain within her blue eyes." Your eyes...they always appeared pained."

Marionette sighed." Even though the demon I love is alive and in my arms again, we have grown so much appart. He has not made love to me, since the night I got pregnant with Easter."

" So what you are saying is that your sex life has dimmed. Well to tell you the truth Tori and myself have not fucked, well had great sex for a while as well. But we still love eachother."He explained.

Marionette nodded and smiled lightly. She stared at the fire." I envy Tori. You know....she has such a passionate lover." Totec could only glance at her.

" You should retire to the tent, I will stay and watch over you and the others." he said.

Marionette nodded and stood, she took one last glance at Totec and went into the tent with the babies and Angelique.

Meanwhile...

While Demitri hunted for his prey, Jedah handed Tori another cup of hot tea and sat down beside her. He was now fully dressed. But she remained covered by the blanket. The rat asleep on her shoulder." You should consider yourself fortunate." He started.

" I know.Not many survive a fall into icey waters. Here at least." She said." Your world is beautiful." She whispered.

" Thank you." Jedah muttered." Your realm has it's own enchantments." Jedah said.

Tori chuckled." Like what?"

Jedah smiled and tilted her chin so he could stare into her eyes.The side of his crimson nail caressing her delicut face."Like you."

Tori blushed and looked away.Jedah chuckled.His brow furrowing, he cocked his head to the side, where he could still look into her eyes with his blood red orbs." You're embarrassed." He mused.

" I would say that you are trying to seduce me." She thought.

Jedah chuckled lightly. Gingerly stroking her almost revealed shoulder. But he pulled the blanket over it." No. I could never do that to her. I love Marionette. "

" I know. And I could never let you take me. Xipe and myself have always been loyal.Even after Hell took him, I saved myself. Until Shinzon raped me." Tori explained.

Jedah lifted his hand. " Listen." He whispered

Tori glanced up and around," What?"

Jedah smiled and stood, he offered his hand." Come on."

"Why?"

" You'll see." he said. Tori stood on her own. They could hear the faint sound of a beautiful song."

Jedah lead her to the window and opened it. "Look." He pointed out a woman with short lavender hair.Upon a hill. She sang to herself. "What is it?" She asked." Her song is beautiful.

" That is the song of the Lunar Flower. They come in the form of lovely maidens. At night and when the moon is out. For wolves. They sing for them."Jedah explained.

Tori smiled and looked at Jedah. They looked at eachother for a moment,"You know, I see so much strength within your eyes." Jedah muttered." To have been able to defeat another half breed such as Shinzon is magnificent."

" I did not do it alone, Jedah."

"I know. That is one thing Totec and myself have in common. Both of us would sacrifice everything for one woman. Women like you and Marionette have what it takes to bring a man to their knees."Jedah stated, yet again making Tori blush." You know, when the realm was born, breathed by Lucifer's betral to the Heavenly Throne, Everything was dead. Vast, but dead. He created three high races. Incubi. Ruled by Moloch Berail Anseland. The Vampire lead by Garumon Bostal, and insteed of leading the demon race, Lucifer gave the throne to his friend. An Angel converted into a demon, vampire, and incubi, Simon Doma. But the realm was of what humans referred to as the pits of Hell. And then, a woman. An Archangel, Racheal decended and gave her heart to Simon and he did the same for her. Once they married, plants, trees, flower
of enchantment bloomed. Because of the love brought into this realm. And soon, Racheal herself gave life. To a son. They called him a quarter breed. Being of demon, incubi, vampire, and angel blood...."

" Thats you." Tori mused.

" Yes. Can't put anything passed you."

" You are wise. I hope you know this."Jedah looked at her and scanned her face.
