In The Arms of an Angel
Like Father Like Son...
"Hey dinner's ready. Why don't you give me my nephew while you go upstairs and wash up?" He said taking the baby from her.
She smiled and watched Eddie play with his nephew. She went up stairs and went into the bathroom taking off her ring to wash her hands. She dried her hands and picked up the engagement ring Vic had given her two years before,smiling as she slipped it back on her finger. Walking down stairs, she remembered the way she, Vic and Eddie would chase each other around the house when they were younger. She smiled at the memory walking into the dining room where Eddie and baby Vic were already sitting.
They sat and ate in a comfortable silence when baby Vic suddenly pointed at a large picture of Vic and Tess and giggled. Tess smiled at her son.
"Whatcha laughing at Vic? Huh?" she toyed as she tickled him.He pointed at the picture again and smiled.
"Daddy!"
Tess and Eddie just stared at the baby.
"He said 'daddy'" Eddie said. Tess smiled.
"He pointed at that picture and said 'daddy'" she said.
"How does he know?" Eddie asked looking back at the picture, still bewildered.Tess only smiled twirling the ring on her finger and kissed baby Vic on the cheek.
"His daddy told him".
