Extraho: You bet it will, made me doubt for a moment when I wrote it, not sure if I wanted him all bruised up…but, I’ve chosen to land most on his chest, rather than his pretty face teehee
Sunset20: D’Awww –pouts- I know, poor Jackiepoo and poor Williebillie
Lonewolf: Yea…it really isn’t, is it? –pouts-
Chapter 9: Closure
Warm brown eyes looked around the room, as his hand moved to his head, silently, he wondered what had caused the headache.
Eyes widened in realization, then quickly swept through the room.
And there he was, looking into a mirror while tending to various cuts and bruises on his chest, the blood having seized to run from his nose.
“Jack”
The pirate shook his head as he bound the large cut on his chest, slipping on a new shirt, otherwise not acknowledging the youth’s presence.
Will rose from the bed, moving to the elder, taking a cloth and drenching it before moving it to clean one of the cuts, “I’m so sorry, this should never have happened… I don’t know what caused it Jack”
Jack nodded, his hand reaching out to pull the youth near, kissing him softly, “I’m glad it happened William, now, you can start moving on. ‘Twas the best that could happen to you mate. Rest yourself now, I need to tend to the Pearl for a moment”
Will nodded, watching as Jack left and looked around the room, seeing images he wanted repressed yet, not feeling threatened by them.
He smiled, then lay himself down on the bed, his fingers strumming his chest.
He could hear footsteps were approaching, and he found himself smiling, “That was a very brief moment Jack”
“Ahh…so our dear captain gave you the ‘comfort’ I couldn’t then, is it?”
The voice he heard made him sit up, “Elizabeth”
As Elizabeth stepped into the cabin she smiled, “I suppose then, that it wasn’t all that horrible what happened to you. After all, you seem quite eager to have a repetition of it with Jack”
Gripping the sheets, he shook his head, “No, it’s nothing like that. Jack’s helped me…still does, he’s made me see it wasn’t my fault, that I couldn’t help it.”
Elizabeth just laughed, “Or is it a simple excuse to indulge yourself in your sinful lusts?”
Will narrowed his eyes, “Get out”
She laughed, moving closer to him, “Aww… can’t handle the truth can you?”
As Will stood, a hint of his earlier fury returned in his eyes, “Elizabeth, just go, please”
She went to rebuke it, but a voice stopped her, “You’d best do as he says Lizzie, do get out”
With a ‘hmpf’ Elizabeth rushed from the room, her footsteps resounding through the corridor before the loud slamming of the door filled it with silence.
Jack looked at Will, locking the door again, “Easy mate, you don’t want to be going mad again, not sure I deserve more beatings”
Will smiled, “I don’t intend on hurting you further… She just…She turned a 360 on me, she seems nothing like that sweet, beautiful woman I loved…. But, what if she’s right?”
Jack smiled, “You know the truth William”
The other nodded, “I think…you should rest. I’ll go and just…get some fresh air”
Jack gave a nod, “Aye, you do that William”
Jack watched as the youth moved to the door, content to see a genuine smile on his face. And, as Will passed through the door, his mind had already been set in motion.
Now all that was left was to carry it out.
“Now where’s the rum?”
