Chapter Eleven

Obi-Wan tossed the holoreader away with a disgusted hiss and fell back on the bed. Staring up at the ceiling, he shut his eyes and tried to immerse himself in a meditative state. His emotions were all over the place and no matter what he did, he couldn’t get Xanatos’ confession out of his mind. The knowledge that his lover had willingly given himself to Qui-Gon Jinn was eating away at him like a cancer.

Even now, images played over and over again behind his eyelids. Xanatos and Jinn engaged in some of the same bedsports that Obi-Wan had shared with the fallen Jedi. He couldn’t help wondering if Xanatos had spoken the same words to the Jedi Master, caressed him the same way, kissed him with the same fervor? Had Xanatos made the same throaty noises of delight as Jinn had plunged inside him? Had he looked up at Jinn with the same lovesick eyes as he’d deep throated the Jedi?

Obi-Wan’s hands gripped the bedspread in a white knuckled strangle hold, his teeth grinding together. Anger and jealousy burned white hot in his belly as he envisioned his lover cuddled up with the Jedi Master, whispering words of love and undying devotion. It made him physically sick to the stomach knowing the truth. Knowing how Jinn had taken advantage of his love struck apprentice. Used him.

Releasing his hold on the sheet, Obi-Wan pressed the palms of his hands against closed eyes. It both hurt and frightened him, although he’d never admit it to Xanatos. He’d be stupid to think someone as gorgeous as deCrion had remained chaste all thirty-five years of his life. Obi-Wan could accept his lover being involved with almost anyone, except Qui-Gon Jinn. Hell, he would have had a good laugh if it had been any other Jedi. But not the man who’d rejected Obi-Wan when he was no more than a child. Not the man who’d stolen any hopes of him becoming a Jedi Knight. That was unacceptable.

Obi-Wan forced himself to sit up, his gaze zeroing in on the well stocked liquor cabinet that sat across the room. Jaw firming, he stood up and hurried over to the wide range of spirits on display. A smile curved his lips as he spotted his favorite brand. Not only was it obscenely expensive, but it was also one of the strongest the galaxy had to offer. Pulling the topper off, he tossed his head back and took a deep drag straight from the bottle.

A gasp broke from his lips as the liquid burned a path down his throat and into his belly, eyes tearing up. Maybe if he got good and sloshed the visions would leave him in peace for awhile. Satisfied with the solution, he carried the bottle back to the bed and lay back on the pillows. In short time he had made good on his promise and was well on his way to being completely inebriated.

Xanatos strode down the ramp, his gaze guarded as he watched the men carry his guest. The young Jedi was a handsome pup, tall and muscular, and brimming with strong emotions. It seemed fitting that Jinn had once again been saddled with an apprentice who was far from the Order’s ideal of what a Jedi should be. It would be interesting to see Chun and Obi-Wan interact after all these years. Obi-Wan’s reaction had clearly showed Xanatos that the wounds from childhood were still open and festering.

"Where to, My Lord?"

Jerked out of his musings by the question, Xanatos waved a hand as he lead the way. "My rooms for now."

Pushing the doors open, he ignored the figure sprawled on the bed and positioned one of the chairs in the center of the room. As the men deposited their bundle and went to work securing the young Jedi, he turned his attention toward his lover. Obi-Wan watched them through heavy lidded eyes, a half empty bottle cradled against his side. His lips thinning in irritation, Xanatos waited until the men had departed the room before moving over and snatching the bottle away. Holding it up, he whistled as he saw the label, a slender eyebrow raised in Obi-Wan’s direction.

"Drowning your sorrows, brat?"

Obi-Wan struggled into a sitting position, weaving back and forth as he glared up at the fallen Jedi. "Fuck you!"

Biting back an angry retort, Xanatos gestured toward their guest. "I’ve brought you a gift and this is the way you thank me?"

"Gift?" Words more than a little slurred, Obi-Wan scooted his way off the bed in order to get a closer look at the man tied to the chair.

Xanatos was forced to grasp his lovers elbow in order to steady him when Obi-Wan’s feet threatened to trip him up. The younger man leaned forward as he made a slow and thorough inspection of their unwilling guest, mouth open and an interested gleam flaring to life in his eyes.

"Is this really Chun?"

"Yes."

"But….Bruck was….This guy is…gorgeous!"

More than a little stung by the younger man’s avid appreciation for the Jedi, Xanatos shrugged with disinterest. "I suppose, if you’re into the big hulking brute types."

Ignoring him, Obi-Wan inched closer and tilted his childhood nemesis’s face up. "Who would have guessed Chun would grow up to be so attractive?" A frown turned down the edges of his lips. "Why’s he unconscious?"

"The binders we used release low doses of sedatives into the skin as well as block the Force. Once you decide where you want him, I’ll have the men put the Force collar my scientists crafted on." Xanatos turned a curious glance toward Obi-Wan when his explanation was met with silence.

The hungry glint in multi-hued eyes had the fallen Jedi’s stomach clenching. Determined to remind Obi-Wan of where his affections lay, he grasped the younger man’s arms, pulling him flush against his own body.

"He’s yours to do with as you please." Cupping Obi-Wan’s face between his hands, he leveled his lover with a warning glare. "Just don’t forget who you belong to."

Obi-Wan’s mouth opened to protest the claim, but his words were cut off by an open mouthed kiss of possession. By the time Xanatos pulled back they were both breathless and highly aroused.

"I have some work to finish up. The men await your orders for what to do with our Jedi guest."

Obi-Wan watched him leave, a bemused expression on his face, the kiss effectively sobering him up. Clearing his throat, he once again focused his attention on his childhood nemesis. As he studied the tanned handsome features, a wicked grin twisted his lips.

Old feelings of anger were intertwined with a surprising flush of desire as he stared at the unconscious figure of Bruck Chun. Backing away, he sat on the edge of the bed. Once he was sober his thoughts would be clearer, he assured himself, ignoring the mocking sound of his own inner voice.
