Port Royal

First off: 72 reviews as I write this!!! Thank you so much! It means a lot.

Taills: Don't need anyone to do my bidding ;) Thanks.

Insatiable: Sorry, I'm no good with sex scenes; behind closed doors and all that. Not into having Bootstrap just barge in, I prefer to let him dwell on it for a while, get him upset. Glad I got you hooked. :)

datiye: No castrated Jack, but I have a plan for that line of thought. And I promise that Jack will make Will feel all better soon. ;)

Arabwel: Yeah, it was pretty abrupt. But I really hadn't slept in a few days and that's what came up. I'll prolly edit later on.

Soho'sHo: Thanks. More coming.

Mel: Glad you like it. I found it was too short too. I'm a hopeless romantic, so mush will prolly show up at times. ;)

Nita: *huggles* More coming, and questions will be answered, eventually. Don't worry about the mistakes, and stop threatening my reviewers!!! I need them too!!! ;) I have some ideas for the characters, and you're not too far off from a few of them. Something's planned for Anamaria too.

SanelyChallenged: More coming. And here, have a Shmee teddy bear.

D'Artagnan: Ch 5: Thanks. Ch 6: Bootstraps has a purpose. Ch 9: Parley is the bastardized english/vulgar version of the actual term. Basically the equivalent of slang. Ch 10: No idea how old Jack is, but I'm just guessing around late twenties to early thirties. Bootstrap still has some stuff to do, so no dying yet.

~Port Royal~

Norrington stood with his men at the docks waiting for the buccaneers to disembark. Swann had joined him, curious about the former pirates that had been sent from England to protect the merchant ships.

The first thing the two noticed when the captain appeared was that he looked familiar. The same dark eyes, strong features, and a few of the same mannerisms of Will Turner. The man bowed in a formal greeting.

"Captain William Turner, at your service, Commodore Norrington."

"William Turner?" Norrington asked. "Forgive my saying, but that name belongs to a young blacksmith that has since left this city. I would like your real name, Captain."

"That is my real name, Commodore. The young man of which you speak is my son. Perhaps the name 'Bootstrap Bill' Turner is better known to you?"

Swann nodded, "Yes, I have heard that one. But young Will is your son? I was not aware...What I mean to say is that we thought him an orphan."

Bootstrap sighed, "I assure you, he is my son. Though we parted company in ill favour of each other."

Swann smiled, "As a father myself, I can understand such toils. But I'm certain you will work past such things."

Bootstrap nodded and turned to Norrington. "My encounter with my son also involved an encounter with the Black Pearl, as I'm sure you have guessed."

Norrington clapped his hands behind his back, "Good, as that brings us to an urgent matter. But I think it would be best to discuss such matters in comfort. Join me for the evening meal, and we can continue ou business afterwards."

"As you wish, Commodore."

"You and your son are quite alike..." Swann mused. "Both seem to acknowledge when proper behaviour is required."

"Indeed," Norrington said, looking Bootstrap over. "You will be shown to guest quarters, and given new clothing, Captain Turner. The meal will begin at six."

"Aye, sir."

~Black Pearl~

"Crimp," Jack called out. "Get to work, you're on cooking duty tonight."

"Will all respect, Cap'n," Anamaria spoke up from her position at the wheel. "I've volunteered for cook tonight. Crimp gets my second watch."

Jack thought and nodded. "Fine. Just get to it, and get Matelot up here to take wheel. Gibbs is navingatin'."

"Aye."

Jack started his way to find Will, who had been fairly unresponsive during their earliercusscussion. He had let the younger man 'sulk', figuring it best to let Will get it out of his system first. He heard Anamaria's even-paced steps close behind him and slowed for her to catch up.

"This morning, what was that about?" Anamaria asked. "The crew doesn't want to ask, but I do. What happened with Bootstrap?"

"It's a long story, Ana," Jack said. "An' I don't want to go into it right now. You'd best keep your mind in your work."

Anamaria frowned, "Jack Sparrow, unless you want another slug, you tell me what the upset is about."

Jack opened his mouth and Anamaria raised a hand to point at him. "And no changing the subject. Tell me, now."

"Meddlin' woman," Jack muttered. "Fine. Bootstrap found out 'bout Will an' me. Needless to say, he wasn't exactly pleased. It almost came to blows, and Will is upset. Savvy? Now, I'm going to go find the boy. And you're goin' to get to work."

Anamaria nodded, "How is it you keep getting messed up in things? Fine. I think he was in his cabin when I last saw. Go first."

Jack smiled slightly and left ahead. True enough, Will was fiddling with something at his desk, another trinket found in their plunder. Jack watched him, admiring the look of concentration as Will tried to work on opening the new box. This one was slightly larger than the one before, but there was no outer lock, this one would have to be picked. Getting bored with just standing there, Jack moved forward.

"Will, we need to talk."

"I know."

Jack turned Will's chair, ignoring the noise it made as it was dragged. He knelt and forced Will to meet his eyes. "It's not your fault, Will. Neither of us were prepared for Bootstrap, you know that. Honestly, he has changed, he's more like you were when this all started."

Will raised an eyebrow and Jack elaborated. "He's too uptight. Yeah, he was more interested in codes and morals than me before. But now...He reminds me of that Norrington man. No fun anymore.

"Of course, this is really my fault. Probably should've told him I was, or wanted, to bed you."

"Jack," Will started; "You're right."

"What? That's it's my fault? Or that-"

"That we weren't ready. I don't think we could have been..."

Jack smiled, "But that could've gone a lot better, love."

Will nodded and Jack reached up, brushing a few stray strands of hair too short to fit into Will's ponytail away from the younger man's face.

"If I know Bootstrap Bill, an' with any luck, he hasn't changed too much, he'll have had the time to cool down. We're near Port Royal, so I think he might've gone there. If you want, we could stop and see if he has."

Will took Jack's hand in his own and shook his head. "No, too dangerous."

"That sounds like a wager to me, boy," Jack said with a smirk.

"Don't you dare. I'm not likely to go off to save you again."

Jack grinned and Will smiled. Rising a little, Jack kissed Will.

"You know I love you, right?"

Will smiled, "No, but now I do."

Jack stood and pulled Will up with him, folding his arms around the younger man's form. "Good. And remember that you're mine. Anyone touches you, and they'll be dealin' with Captain Jack Sparrow."

"I'm certain that will scare many people."

"Whelp," Jack pulled Will into another kiss, breaking apart only when he remembered that they needed to breath.

~Port Royal~

"Captain Turner," Norrington said as he came into the elaborate dining room. "May I introduce my financee, Miss Elizabeth Swann."

Bootstrap bowed, "You're a lucky man, Commodore. Such an angel should be treasured."

Norrington smiled his approval and Elizabeth cocked her head.

"Captain Turner? Do you have relation to a young Will Turner?"

"Aye, my son."

"You seem just like him... Or him just like you, as it were. But I had heard that you were dead."

Bootstrap smiled, "Such matters are not for the dinner table, Miss Swann. Please accept my appologies. If it would pacify your interest, I was made aware that you had dealings with the curse placed over Barbossa's crew. I will only say that such things happened to me, but I have long since seen that the honesfe ofe of a British sailor is far more rewarding."

Norrington pulled out a chair for Elizabeth, "Well spoken, Captain. I can see quite clearly that you have none of the rashness of your offspring."

"Please, Commodore, I would prefer not to speak of my son at the moment. He is included in the business we have. And such matters should not be discussed in the presence of the lady."

"Of course. Please, sit. Let us enjoy the meal."

Elizabeth frowned, she had hoped to hear news of her friend. But this 'Captain Turner' seemed almost nothing like she had heard, he was far too much like Norrington to have passed any traits other than looks onto her dear Will.

*********

"Well Captain Turner, I believe you have a story to tell," Norrington said, sitting in the chair behind his desk. "Your son seems to be a touchy subject, and while I, personally, do not approve of his choices, I know him to be an honest and good man."

Bootstrap took the offered seat across from Norrington. "To tell you in all honesty, Commodore; I've been aboard the Pearl recently, very recently, in fact. I just wish to say that I would rather not meet Jack Sparrow outside of an arrest again."

Norrington raised an eyebrow, "And why would that be, Captain?"

"He has taken, 'liberties', with my son. I know it is vulgar to a man of office, such as yourself. But I would personally like to see Sparrow castrated then hung."

"I will not inquire as to why, as a Commodore," Norrington said, still with a surprised look that was somewhat amusing to Bootstrap. "But as a man, I must ask that. I have no love for Sparrow, but what liberties could warrant that?!"

"You would not wish to know these liberties, Commodore," Bootstrap insisted. "And, at the moment, I have no desire to remember them."

Norrington nodded, giving Bootstrap a wary look. "Then I will not press. On matters of the Pearl, a warrant for the arrest of the crew has been sent to every port city in the colonies. It seems British, Spanish, and French are all in agreement about this. The Black Pearl is to be captured, in one piece, preferably, and with the crew alive.

"In light of your, realtion, to a crew member; I must ask if you would be able to preform such a task."

Bootstrap nodded, "I can. The only thing is that I wish the chance to turn my son from this life he has chosen. As for Sparrow and the rest of the crew, I don't care what happens to them."

"Very well. If caught by any other that you, the young William Turner will be placed in your custody. But if he refuses to leave the Pearl's crew, he will be tried with the rest of them."

Bootstrap nodded, "Agreed."

***********************************************************************

Eh, I made Bootstrap too Norrington-y (new word. ^.^). But I'll get him back to how I had him before. And more Jack and Will next time. And a bit more Elizabeth to further the plot.
