Familiar Faces
Chapter 12: Familiar F

"You are a maniac. You were going at least 110mph" Mia said, her hand shaking from holding on so tight.
Eva simply smiles and secures the helmets, as they walk and get in her car. They make their way to the racing scene and
some cars are already there. They park their cars and as Mia &Jesse get out they are received by cheers and whoops from the regular car racers. Eva makes her way thru to Hector. The rest stay around talking to people and Jesse is greeted and welcomed back by everyone.
"Hey Hec what's the deal for tonight?" Eva said playing with her keys.
"Hey girl! Looks like your up against a newbie he should be here in a few and it's 2 large tonight " Hector
says and he notices Edwin walking up to them.
Edwin shakes his hand and looks over to Eva and the rest of the group.
"Damn Hector that's you?"
"Nope this is Eva, you know her brother Oscar Santiago" Hector says poiting to Eva.
"Oh shit yeah, Oscar little sister, well you all grown up girl" Edwin said looking at her up and down.
"Yes I am" Eva says handing Hector the 2grand not taking her eyes off of Edwin leg hig him know she was not easily intimidated.
Mia makes her way to where Eva is standing talking to the guys and both Edwin and Hector have a smile from ear to ear.
"Little Mia Toretto!" Hector picks her up in a hug and Edwin gives her a kiss on the cheek.
"You stayed away too long. You know there's a rumor that Dom is back in town is that true?" Edwin says
crossing his arms.
"Guess your just gonna have to stick around and find out" Mia says giving them a sarcastic look.
Just then three cars pull up and everyones attention goes to them.
"There's your competition" Hector says pointing at a gold Honda Accord Coupe followed by a red Honda S200 and a green Mazda 323 all with tinted windows.
"Who are they?" Mia asks to no one in particular.
"The've been to the races a few times but this is the first time I see that Accord here" Hector says walking up
to the cars.
Eva stays looking at the cars and and turns her attention to Coco and Mini who are talking to some guys.
' This should be a piece of cake' she thinks to herself as she gets in her car and they all drive off to the racing spot.
Once they get there the 4 cars align infront of the neon green line and await for the GO signal. She turns on her NOS tanks
and blasts her system to Ludacris "Move Bitch" as she looks out and sees Mia standing next to Jesse and the girls. She
looks to her otherside and catches a glimpse of a familar face and does a double take.
'Is that?......No.......yeah it is him' she realizes that Dom is in the crowd already talking to Edwin and a crowd
already gathered around him.
She looks forward and breaths in deeply, now she was nervous.
'Why am I nervous? Just because Dominic Torreto is watching me race doesn't mean anything' she says
trying to convince her self. She sees Hector put his hands up in the air.
'OK Eva GO time' she reminds herself 'Piece of cake' Hectors hands go down and the screeching of the cars are heard.
Eva is in the lead but the Accord is right on her ass. "Damn this guy is pretty good" Eva says to her self as she hits her
NOS button and crosses over the finish line, adrenaline rushing thru her body. "Damn that feels good" she yells out the
window letting out the breath she seemed to be holding since she saw Dom..
The cars turn around and come back to the start line and Eva gets out as Coco, Mia, Mini and Lisa congratulate her.
Hector hands her the cash.
"Woo-Hoo, yeah that's what I'm talking about" Eva says flashing the money around. She sees Dom walking towards
her with a satisfied look on his face.
"I though you werent coming." Eva said with a smirk.
"I changed my mind, .......you were pretty good out there" Dom said sitting on the hood of her car.
"Coming from you Dom that's more than a compliment" Eva said bowing infront of him, Dom simply laughs.
"By the way who did you race?" just as Dom asks he is interrrupted by a loud claping.
"My, my, my the aprentice outdoes the master" a tall dark and handsome man gets out from the Accord and
approaches Eva and Dom. He had dark brown hair, and eyes with dark skin. He had a picture of Jesus Christ on the cross
on his left arm and the Virgin Mary on his right arm.
"Oscar" both Eva and Dom say at the same time and look at each other.
"You know this guy?" Dom asks Eva standing up from the car.
"Yeah...........this is my brother" Eva looked a little disapointed. Oscar walks past Coco, Mini and Lisa ignoring them completely, they never really liked him. He never did anything bad to Eva but he was involved with drugs big time.
"Evita, Evita, my little sister, you kicked ass out there" Oscar said holding on to her shoulders.
"Stop calling me that" Eva now looked annoyed.
"And Dominic Toretto, I haven't seened you since...... well since we were locked up together" Oscar said still holding on to Eva.
"Oscar..........what can I say, nice ride!" Dom said with a smirk and not even trying to hide his sarcasm.
"I have a surprise for you sis" Oscar turns ignoring Dom's comment and looks towards the Mazda 323 and out of the
car another familar face comes out. A blonde, medium toned, green eyed GOD, he was about 6' and built almost like Dom
and he had 3 tatoo's one of the Puerto Rico shield on his right arm, his name on his left arm and a rosary around his neck.
"Oh Gyou you brung Mike with you?" Eva's face turns to Dom but he doesn't notice his alert mode has been turned on.
"What's the matter baby, you haven't missed me?" Mike walks up to Eva and takes her hand kisses it.
"Since when are you such a fucking gentelman!" she snatches her hand away and he laughs.
"Oh come on love what do say, lets go somewhere and catch up with old times" his voice was slithery like a
snakes. He grabs her arm a little more tight than she could appreciate. "Let me go!" Eva yells frustrated and she doesn't
even know why. Dom quickly steps in between Eva and Mike seeing the distress on her face. The girls come over and
make sure Eva is OK.
Mike and Dom have a stand off looking each other in the face. Oscar grabs Mike's arm and says, "Not here man we
gotta go" Mike smiles and begins to walk away. Dom looks over to Oscar and says walking away "Well it's been a pleasure as always"
Oscar looks back to Eva "See you around sis" The sound of police sirens fills the air and everyone scaters.
