Chapter Twelve
One year later…
Liza and the boys walked off the ship and waved back at Joss before he closed the hatch. The ship rose into the atmosphere and disappeared as they made their int into the large villa.
Acaciah was waiting for them in the large sitting room and she smiled warmly as they camsideside. Aiden and Lawson immediately ran over to Goran and Micail, pulling them over to the corner to play speeders. Connell and Gabe followed right behind as fast as their little legs would carry them. The nanny smiled and moved along with them, chatting companionably with the Skywalker's nanny. Liza settled on the chair, smiling ruefully at Acaciah sitting on the large comfortable couch. If she tried to sit on that, they would have to use a crane to get her up! Acaciah arranged an ottoman and some cushions beneath Liza's feet to make her more comfortable.
"This pregnancy has been so much more uncomfortable than the others, this baby is so restless, it’s almost like he's mad that he's so confined!" Liza complained softly, running her hand over her large stomach.
Liza and Acaciah were talking quietly when Obi-Wan entered the sitting room. A tall, distinguished looking man followed behind him. His jet-black hair swept back from a high forehead and his eyes were a strange yellowish green color. Liza got the distinct impression that she had seen him somewhere before.
Obi-Wan looked at Liza and smiled before turning to Acaciah and patting her arm. “This is Elek Ashon, an old acquaintance of mine from the Temple," Obi-Wan said to the women.
Ashon bowed to both Liza and Acaciah. He paused, regarding Liza's swollen stomach. "Is your child well, Mrs. Kadeen?"
"Yes, this one's quite strong" Liza remarked, feeling uncomfortable as his probing gaze swept her stomach.
"He is," Ashon agreed. "Children are a great blessing; they should be taught well in their chosen path." Acaciah shifted in her seat uneasily. He had an almost covetous expression on his face; she didn't like the looks of him. She shot her father an incredulous look. * Is he for real? * She asked.
Obi-Wan cleared his throat. "If you are genuinely interested in joining the Unification movement you should speak with my son-in-law, Anakin. When will he be back, Acaciah?"
"Very shortly," Acaciah replied. "I'm sure he'd like to have a look at you," she told Ashon.
"That's quite alright," Ashon said. "I have a family of my own to see to, I'd hate to take up your husband's time!" He bowed to Obi-Wan and left hurriedly.
"Most peculiar," Obi-Wan remarked. "I haven't seen him for years; he was always a little strange."

Ashon strode quickly from the house, nearly running into Joss coming in. He mumbled something and brushed by him. Joss stared after him, catching a frisson in the Force before he disappeared into a small speeder. Joss shook his head and went into the house to find Liza.
Elek jerked the speeder to a halt and went into his large ship, calling loudly for Naria. She appeared and stood looking at him with hatred in her eyes. “Prepare yourself, we are leaving,” he growled as he stalked past her towards the main cabin. He leaned over the small hovercrib, staring in at the small baby. He stroked her downy cheek and smiled, his eyes alight with an eerie glow. "You my little one will bring him to me and finally the future that I envisioned so long ago shall come to pass."
He smiled wickedly and left the room, glaring at Naria as she made her way past him to get the baby settled for the journey off planet. Ever since he had taken her from Naboo, she had been trying to come up with a way to escape. Now that she had a child, she was even more determined to escape since she knew that soon he would find her dispensable.
