Friendship Everlasting
CHAPTER 14: FRIENDSHIP EVERLASTING
FLASH FORWARD *********************************** AFTER 2 MONTHS
During the past 2 months Jesse and Lisa had gotten much closer and always went everywhere together. Mini and Vince had been on a few dates and everyone knew they were dating, but decided to let them tell the news. Even Coco and Leon had
began to grow on each other. Mia and Brian were better than ever, the force had given Brian a vacation and he took Mia with
him for a week. Mia and Eva had become best friends and Eva had confessed to her they way she felt for Dom. Eva hadn't heard from her brother or Mike since.
Dom and Eva however were another story. They had become closer than before, they talked to each other and looked out
for each other, but neither of them would act on their feelings for one another. Dom tried to think of Eva as one of the guys but
his heart knew better.
AT THE STORE
FRIDAY***************************
"Hey Mia I have an idea but I need your help" Eva said writing on a piece of paper.
"Sure what's up?"
"Well, you told me that Dom's birthday is next Friday and maybe we should do something for him"
"My brother hates surprises Eva, he hasn't even had any parties since he's been back." Mia said looking up
from one of her books.
"He won't hate this one trust me!" Eva said with a devilish grin.
"What do you have planned?" a now curious Mia asks. As Eva gets close and starts to whispers her plan.
"Oh My GOD your right I can't wait to see his face!" Mia says in between laughs.
Both Mia and Eva are laughing as Jesse walks in the store "Hey what are you guys laughing at?"
"Oh, nothing Jess what are you doing here? It's almost closing time" Mia says looking at her watch.
Jesse motions for Mia to follow him outside and she does. Outside Eva can see them talking and Jesse's face is serious
and Mia looks excited at first but as Jesse keeps talking her face changes, now she looks worried.
' God I wish I had bionic ears' Eva says trying to look busy as Mia starts to walk back inside the store. She still has that
same look on her face.
"Is everything OK Mia?, What happened?" Eva asks knowing she sounds desperate.
"Uhm, nothing Jesse just had some news of an old friend that's all......... we should start closing up" Mia
starts to clean up the table and Eva knows not to push the subject, if Mia wanted to talk to her she would when she was ready.
AT THE TORETTO'S ****************************
Mia seemed to be in a better mood when she got home, they had made a ritual of cooking and getting together at their
house every Friday sort of to unwind. The girls had become a sort of a family away from home type and they had grew on
Dom and everyone else. Mia and Eva shared their plan with the girls since they needed their help. They figured they would
tell the guys sooner or later but not yet.
The guys are outside drinking Coronas and talking guy stuff while the girls are inside talking about their plan.
"Have you guys noticed that the girls have been mighty suspicious this evening" Jesse says with his best mysterious voice.
" As a matter of fact yes I have Jesse how about you Vince" Leon says in a mocking voice. A laughing Vince
says
"You guys are so corny!"
"Yeah they have been acting weird tonight, I wonder what they're up to?" Brian says as the guys look at Jesse.
"What? I don't know anything............ Oh come on guys, you know I'm the worst on spying on them .....The'll kick my ass"
" I have faith in you Jesse, if anyone can find anything out is you!" Dom says as he pats him on the shoulder.
The girls decide to come out and join the guys.
"So, what are we talking about out here cars, girls....cars and girls" Mia says as she looks towards Brian
"You know babe, stuff" Brians grabs Mia around the waist and kisses her on the neck.
"Where are you guys taking us tonight?", Mini says grabing on to Vinces' neck as he kisses her.
Lisa is sitting on Jesse's lap at the picnic table. Eva is accross from them as comtcomtemplates the couples and looks
over to Dom who is already looking at her. She gives a warm smile and he walks over to He He sits directly infront of her so
he has both legs on either side of the bench and says, "What do you feel like doing tonight?"
She closes one eye as if she is thinking realy hard.
"How about if we just hang out by the beach, knowknow the boardwalk" she says speaking to Dom, but loud
enough as if to suggest it to everyone.
"Yeah I'm down for that" Jesse says as Lisa nods in agreement.
"We could go skinny dippin" Leon says suggestively to Coco "In your dreams pal" Coco asnwers back. They all laugh.
"OK let's go then" Brian says as they all start to walk in the house to get their things together. As they all start et iet in their
cars Dom asks Eva to ride with him and she agrees. They stay quitely for the biggining of the ride and then Eva brakes the silence.
" They're gonna think we're together you know" Eva says looking out the window.
"Is that so bad?"
"No, but were not together" she says more in a making sure tone.
"Listen we're friends right? Dom asks and Eva nods.
"Then let them think what they want, besides I like hanging out with you" as he grabs her hand in his. She simply smiles thinking ot herself 'Right, Friends' and continues to look out the window. Once they all got to the beach they begin to walk on the boardwalk and the guys are playing games in the arcade while the girls go inside a shop and decide to buy matching bracelets for all of them.
The bracelet was black leather, thick and they had this ingraved in it,
' True Friends Are Hard To Find, Difficult Tove ave and Impossible To Forget'
They each put them on and went out to give the guys theirs. Eva knew she had give Dom his, so she put both bracelets in
her pocket and walked outside. Mini was walking back towards her with blankets in hend and and told her they were headed
for the beach. Once there the couples paired off. Eva put the blanket down and sat enjoying the sea breeze as Dom walked over to her.
"Is this seat taken?" he askes bitting his lip. Eva smiles and pats the blanket, he sits in silence and she looks over to him.
She pulls out the bracelets, takes his hand in her hand, gets on both her knees and takes his arm and with a silly smile says,
" With this bracelet, I pledge my everlsting friendship to you Dominic Toretto" Dom is now in a fit of laughter as
he looks at her and takes the other bracelet in his hand and places it on her arm.
" With this bracelet, I pledge my everlasting.................." he stops and swallows hard.
"What?! What's wrong Dom , this to corny for you?" Eva asks feeling kind of awkward.
"Eva I cant' do this, why are we lying to each other?" Dom let's go of her arm and she pulls away.
"But, we are friends Dom, right?" Eva is more confused than ever.
"Yes!, we are friends but we're also more than that and I think it's time we both accepted it. I know we can both be stubborn Eva but I'm hidding my feelings no more" Dom says as he grabs handhand again and puts the bracelet on her arm.
"With this bracelet, I pledge my everlasting Friendship, Love and Loyalty to you Eva" Dom has a serious look
on his face and Eva just sits staring at him, speechless.
"I'm not saying we have move in together or anything, I wanna be with you so please say something" Dom
is still holding her hand. Eva gives him that smile that makes him melt she grabs him by his head and pulls him for a big
passionate kiss.
"I Love you too and I wanna be with you more than anything Dom" a relieved Eva whispers, they both lay there
on the blanket and watch the beautiful sunrise.
