CHAPTER 15 – RAGING SOUL

Angel got to the library as usual and Cass was there, waiting for her.

“Hey girl!” Cass looked at her friend closely. “Girl you are glowing… nice night? You look so damned different!” Cass said nastily. Angel blushed. “You didn’t…?” Angel smiled wider. “Way to go girl… welcome to the club!” Angel looked at her friend inquisitive.

“Come on girl… I new you never had anyone in your life, it’s not hard to realise you were… well, new in the field!” Cass laughed loud and covered her mouth not to make too much noise.

“Jesus… was it that transparent?” Angel finally said.

“Damned, girl, it was! So how was it?” Cass couldn’t help to ask.

“Heaven on Earth…!” Angel managed to say blushing.

“I’m happy for you friend… hope you finally found the love of your life!”

“Oh Cass… I did! He was meant to be mine all this time…!”

“Easy girl… don’t head into a heartbreak, take it slowly… I don’t want to see you hurt!” Cass said worried with her friend’s conviction.

“Don’t worry. I won’t! Vince was destined to be mine, as I was destined to be his, we have been looking for each other for a long time… and now we are together, no one will break us apart!” Angel said playing unconsciously with her new ring. Cass looked at the ring and held Angel’s hand so quickly Angel couldn’t stop her. Her eyes opened as wide as Angel’s when she noticed Cass looking at the ring and looking at her neck, Angel tried to hide the glyph symbol on her neck but it was too late.

“Angel…!” Cass said slowly.

“Don’t sweat it Cass… I can’t talk about it… not now!” Cass’s face became pale. “I’m ok girl… that’s all you need to know…believe me!”

“You would tell me, if something weird was happening, right?” Cass asked looking her friend in the eyes.

“Don’t worry, everything’s fine! Go home, we’ll talk about it when I’m ready!” Angel said kissing Cass in the cheek.

“Ok… but I am worried!”

“Don’t be Cass, I couldn’t be happier!” Angel’s face was glowing like never before, and that reassured Cass a little. Cass ends up leaving and Angel goes back to her work. She kept looking at the clock, time seamed to pass so slowly. She couldn’t wait to go back home to Vince. Time passed painfully slow and when the clock stroke 8, she picked up her stuff and left running home, for the first time running to someone but her pet Fangs.

“Vince?!” She called as she got home, she looked for him and he was nowhere to be found. She picked up a note that was on the bed.

“Hi My Angel,
Sorry I had to leave, Lexus a master vampire friend of mine got into town, and I just have to meet with him. I’ll be back to you as soon as I can.
I love you, my life!
Love, Chupa”

Angel sighed, and looked at Fangs as petting him.

“Well baby, looks like it’s just me and you for now!” Angel went back to her normal routine.

Not far away from there, Chupa had just walked in the coven. The atmosphere was very heavy, he could feel several sets of eyes on him, sniffing him disgusted with his sent, her sent, it was all over him. He finally made it to the grand hall to meet Lexus.

“Chupa, brother…hey how are you!”

“Danz!” Chupa said shaking his best friend’s hand. “I’m fine man, better then I could ever be!” Danz sniffed the air around him.

“Hum… I see what you mean! How weird can this get? You’re in love with this human!” Danz said looking his friend in the eyes. A shadow joined them.

“Are you?” Chupa turns to the sound of Lexus’s voice.

“Yah… Lexus I am!” Chupa said smiling at his friend. “Back so soon?”

“Had to! There were some problems to be solved!” Lexus replied walking Chupa to the living room, Danz was about to follow them. “You better stay Danz, I have to speak to Chupa privately” Danz nodded and retreated to his quarters.

“What’s up?” Chupa asked worried. The vibe he was getting from Lexus was worrying him.

“We have to talk about this… Angel of yours!”

“What about?” Chupa said sitting down. Lexus focused himself not to let Chupa in his mind but opened the channel to the Elders for them to be part of the conversation, without Chupa’s knowledge.

“Well, you know what you have to do, don’t you…?” Lexus said bluntly.

“NO!” Chupa bowelled at Lexus. “I won’t do that! I love her too much!”
“Someone will!” Lexus had a link to the Elders and they were listening to the conversation.

“I’ll kill whom ever comes near her… I WILL Lexus!” Chupa said getting up from his chair. Lexus sighed. “This is not good, he won’t do what he has to… what now?” He sent to the Elders.

“You know what you have to do!” Marius sent to Lexus mind “We are ready!”

Chupa looked at Lexus inquisitive.

“What’s wrong with you?” Chupa sat back down again.

“Nothing my friend! You know it’s the only way, how are you going to live? She is human… it’s impossible!”

“Lexus, I won’t repeat myself, I told you, no! And don’t any of you try to touch her!” Chupa bowelled at him eyes narrowed in range.

Lexus walked back and forth nervously. He kept silent. Chupa’s eyes were burning on him. He kept him off his thoughts; Chupa was trying to scan him for he was suspecting something. “I have to do something…!” Lexus thought.

“Chupa… I understand your love for her… she’s… something! Even I got drowned to her, but she will be in danger, and so will you!” Lexus kept talking, trying to calm him down.

“I’ll leave. I don’t know where to, but I know she’ll follow me anywhere! We’ll just move or something…!” Chupa said trying to control the anger building in.

“You’ll be tracked Chupa! You know that!” Lexus felt a shift in the coven. Chupa sat up in his chair looking at Lexus. Lexus sighed, as soon as he felt the presences near.

“WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?” Chupa growled at Lexus getting up looking around him, trying to focus his senses on the new presences.

“Chupa… you are my friend… but what has to be done, HAS TO BE DONE! I hope you forgive me when you realize what I’m doing!” Lexus backed away from Chupa and the presences came in the room hissing.

“Fuck Lexus… what are you doing?!” Chupa said walking a step back bumping in the chair. The Elders encircle him. Chupa froze, looking at them clenching his fists ready for the fight.

“Forgive me my friend… it’s for your own good!” Lexus replied, they all rose their hand turning them at Chupa, that suddenly felt frozen stiff, he couldn’t move, the Elders were keeping a grip on his body from where they were standing. Chupa tried to break free, hissing and growling at them menacingly, but there was nothing he could do, he had the power of 7 elders holding him up, they were controlling his body.

“NO…!” He boomed; “Fuck… AAANNNGGGEEELLL!!!” Chupa cried out before passing out.

“Let’s go, we have to leave before he wakes up! Bring him Lexus!” Marius said to his friend, Lexus walked over and picked up Chupa’s unconscious body from the floor, the Elders still had their grip on him, in case he would recover quickly and charge at them. They left taking Chupa.

A sudden storm erupted, and lighting scorched the skies, the rain came poring strongly.

Angel stood in the balcony looking at the moon, listening to the music on her stereo when she suddenly felt a pain in her chest and her head was spinning.

“Vince…!” She closed her eyes trying to focus him, trying to feel him. Nothing. “Fuck… Vince, where are you baby?” Her mind was spinning, her hearing racing, all she could hear was the pouring rain and the lyrics of the song playing in the back ground coming from her living room…

She looked around, focused herself on her love for Chupa and regained her strength, picking up her long leather coat she left running towards the park, under the heavy rain and thunder, something that used to scare her so much, it didn’t make sense now compared to the fear she was feeling, the sense of loss, loss of the most precious thing in her life, her own LIFE force… CHUPA.
She walked through the shadows of the park and went to her Secret Place and sat down. Tears ran down her cheeks, something was wrong, she could feel it, but what? She suddenly looked up, the rain was poring and soaking her wet to the bones.

“Daywalker!”

“Hum… you’re good!” Blade came out of the shadows and joined her at the statues, he sensed Chupa’s blood on her, and noticed she was crying.

“Did he hurt you?” Blade asked angry.

“No Blade! He didn’t!” She spat out.

“I sense his smell on you! His …”

“Blood?!” She said cutting him off. Blade jaw dropped.

“Yes!” He managed to say.

“Well, no more games Blade, I know what you are, what he is, and yes I do smell of is blood… I drank it!” A huge thunder fell around them, lighting her face.

“What?! He turned you? Mother-fucker…!”

“You’re getting confused Blade, he didn’t turn me, but we tasted each others blood! He won’t turn me not willingly anyway…!” She smiled at him.

“You know I will kill him if he turns you, or anyone else for that matter!”

“You’re so full of shit Blade! Why are you following me around anyway?”

“I told him I would protect you, he asked me to. And he is not around, so here I am! I’m a man of my word!” Blade replied bluntly.

Angels let out a loud laugh. Blade just stood there completely confused and soaked.

“You are so fucking funny… you swore to protect me… but if he had turned me, you would kill him and eventually, kill me! How sick can that be! What if I wanted to be turned? Hun?” She said getting up standing in front of him, facing him. “What if I wanted? Who the hell are you to stand in my way!” She bowelled. Blade was surprised and shocked at her boldness.

“You don’t know what you are asking for!” He said, his anger building up, rain falling in his face.

“Really?!… And what died and made you God? Who the hell do you think you are, going around killing your own kind? Killing the scum, I can understand, they are a bad image for the vampires but going around killing people like Chupa…!” She said screaming in his face.

“They are not my kind!” Blade bowelled at her.

“Really? When are you going to accept the fact YOU ARE A VAMPIRE?!” She screamed in his face getting even closer. Suddenly she felt a new presence around them, someone that was there when she first met Chupa. His friend, he was hedgy with her argument with Blade. He sensed him too, and looked around pulling his blade out. She stepped in front of him stopping him from moving towards the presence.

“Not with me here to stop you… you’re not killing any vampire related to Chupa, NOT ON MY WATCH” She screamed at him through the sounds of thunder.

“Are you fucking crazy woman?! Get out of my way!” Blade looked at her infuriated.

She turned to the shadows were she felt the presence.

“GO!!! NOW!!!” she boomed at the presence. She felt him run away and sighed, “He was bringing me news from Chupa, damned Blade scared him away!” She thought.

“You are very brave girl… you should NOT get in my way!” Blade hissed at her.

“You shouldn’t get in mine, either, he is Chupa’s friend, he might have come here to bring me news from Chupa and you just fucking scared him away. It seams to me YOU GOT IN MY WAY!” She yelled at him.

“CHUPA IS NOT IN TOWN ANYMORE!” Blade screamed back. Angel stepped back taken by the news.

“What do you mean?”

“You don’t feel him around, DO YOU?” Blade hissed at her. “He left!” He simply spat at her. Angel eyes get flooded with tears and she started stepping back from Blade, her courage overtaken by fear and sadness of loosing Chupa. Blade saw the pain in her face.

“No, he wouldn’t leave, something’s wrong!” She managed to say. Blade just kept silent, all that anger that she was feeling for him was gone, she was shaking scared, but not for her, for Chupa. Her mind was haunted with what could be happening to him.

“Hey… calm down. Chupa is a bad ass mother-fucker, he can take care of himself!” Blade managed to say to try and calm her down. She walked back to the angel and sat next to it, with her head between her knees, crying. Blade was taken with her sadness. “What was wrong with me? Why do I want to try to help this woman?” Blade thought in his mind, sitting next to her. “Hey, calm down, you won’t be able to find him like this. If you say something is wrong, you have to control yourself, to be able to focus and do something about it!” He couldn’t believe he just said that, but he did. She was shaking harder, her anger was building up, she could feel her blood boil in her veins. She looked up at Blade that moved slightly away from her, eyes open wide looking at her face. Her face was burning up in pain and anger, her eyes were blood red and her soul was raging.

“I will find him, even if that means my death!” She hissed. Blade couldn’t believe in his eyes, he never saw so much determination and hate all together in a human face. Her face was unearthly. She stood up, clenched her fists so hard that blood started to flow from her hands where she dug her nails.

“CCCCHUUUUUUUPPPPPPPPAAAAAAAAAAAAA!” She screamed into the night so loud Blade covered his hears in pain with her scream. Then she just fell unconscious on the wet floor. Blade held her up and took her home, he sat her unconscious body in a chair in the balcony and left. His mind was running amok with her, who is she, what is she?
